Liz, I think other people have problems with those sockettes, too, maybe if they have low volume feet or tiny feet in general, but for me (and for my mom, too) it is a nightmare to keep them on. My heels also don't "bump out" much at the back but go straight down, which might be another problem.
My feet don't have bunions and aren't wide, but the forefoot is definitely wider than the back.
I hate socks, too, and really like the months I can go without them. So I totally understand, and also the frustrations of digging around trying ineffectually to fix the darn little no-show sock, which has balled up under the forefoot and twisted into a torture device!
I also get stubborn about the bandaids, too, and sometimes they just don't work or they fall off if it is humid, or you get them in the wrong place.
I don't know if you have found these. They are super expensive but really surprisingly good: https://www.band-aid.com/advan.....es-6-count
And these ones are also really good: https://www.healthsnap.ca/elas.....t?gclid=Cj
I seem to like one for one situation and one for another but now I can't remember which is which. I would get a couple of packages of each of these and have them on hand along with the body glide. And then just go with the best fitting shoe you can find and the best no-show sock you can find and hope for the best. But bring your extra shoes!!
