On colour combinations, ladies, a strong orange works beautifully with an equally strong burgundy. I borrowed the outfit idea from UK fashionista Trinny (of Trinny and Susannah fame). It has to be a true burgundy, with the red wine tones, not a blue/purple base (which is almost a plum, popular on its own, but not with the orange). I think texture is important with this - a just below knee length nubbly textured orange tweed pencil skirt with a cropped burgundy velvet jacket (done up, worn as a top, rather than as a jacket), with burgundy suede kitten heeled knee high boots. Then added orange leather gloves and the whole outfit looked, and felt, very sassy and special indeed.Thank you to Trinny who was bang on the mark. The strong colours made me happy too !
