I am a day-by-day editor. I keep the pieces I edit out in a donation bag and when the bag is full off to donation it goes.

Hi Bridgie it is 1 January here already, Happy New Year! I was going to tell you about the top I edited out yesterday. It was a hand-me-down from my best friend’s daughter in 2015, a rather shapeless black tunic with very pretty sequins around the neckline. The neckline suited me, the rest not so much, also it needed a strapless bra.
Only worn 3 times in the 4 years since she gave it to me, the last time ( below) in December 2018. So I decided it didn’t deserve a place in my wardrobe and maybe they could donate it elsewhere! She accepted it back very graciously at her NYE party for 8 of us last night. I did feel a bit bad returning it but also felt it was a bit of a salutary lesson for her daughter that donating clothes doesn’t end their life. Maybe someone else will enjoy it. But I am more and more conscious not to just think my responsibility ends after donation, so my plan is to buy less.

I cull frequently as things wear out or whatever, but I need to do a really thorough edit. Just as soon as I have the energy. Because I work at a grocery store, and it's the holiday season and I don't know what on earth people are doing with all this freaking food we've been selling and now I'm tired LOL

deb, day by day editing is ideal. If I ever get rid of this chaos I have now, I will try it too. Happy New Year.

Jenni, that really is a beautiful top. Bless you for trying to find it a permanent home. I join you in planning to buy less. I have two projects going, editing plus shopping my closet. So far, it is working.

Cindy, Oh, I hope you will get a break soon. I know you must be tired.
Grocery is hard work. I am tired of all the extra food around, so I am trying to get back to my better eating habits. I feel better when I eat properly, also
I feel like my clothes fit better. Wishing you A Happy New Year.

Ready to start my day to day edit in the new decade! We can cheer each other on!

Cheers! I am ready.
