I often struggle determining if something is classic with options for dressing up or down or whether it is frumpy.
I am looking for a summer dress that can be dressed up or down.
I only rarely have an occasion to wear a dress. I want something classic in my closet as a "go to" item so that I am not always scrambling and looking dumpy. I don't want to have to re-buy every year. I have a black wrap dress with sleeves but for summer here it just feels too sombre and too hot.
Possible events are:
DD graduation x 2
Dinner out
DD play
I purchased this dress today but wondering if it looks frumpy. I will try it on later when DH is not around to give me the hairy eyeball on more purchases and returns (hahaha).
In general though - is this to be considered at all?
