Thank you ALL so much for the words of support and wisdom . And yes , I am already feeling freed from the prison fashion puts me in at times , and while I’ll miss my blazers , I’m really happy not to have to buy another one ever again
Congratulations on your freedom! It sounds like you carefully considered this and are delighted with your decision. You sound like a burden has been removed.
Congratulations Lisa. I made a similar decision in 2018 to jump off the career ladder. I now only work part time from home and don’t see that changing. My husband is older than I am and has chronic health issues. You start to realise at a certain stage in your life that the most precious commodity you have is time. The change has taken some adjusting to (which tends to surprise people). But I don’t regret it. All the best to you.
It is lovely to read your good news - which this is. Living a healthier and more fulfilling life is what we all aspire to. This move sounds perfect. You always kill it in the style stakes, you don't need to work in fashion to look fabulous.
Wonderful! A well-considered decision and a burden lifted! It’s good to know when we are at our limits and need to make changes. I appreciate you and how DH recognized this and worked through it together.
Well that's exciting! It sounds like the job was rewarding but very stressful and at a certain point the stress just isn't worth it. Good for you taking the leap! Maybe more time now to just enjoy life.
Congratulations. I retired early a couple of years ago from my own business. A lot of what I did was sales, which is stressful month after month as you know your success is necessary to keep the doors open and mouths fed. Wishing you a peaceful, healthy and fashionable transition to this new lifestyle.
I’m on vacation so just saw this....how exciting, and scary. Lisa, i am so happy for you! This sounds like a wonderful next chapter for you, and l look forward to seeing how your style evolves as your life evolves.
Mazel Tov! I can hear the relief in your voice at the prospect of a new and improved life! I will follow your fashion
journey with close attention, as I am planning to retire next spring or summer. And I love a good blazer.
Yay!Good for you.If there’s one thing this pandemic has shown us it’s that life is unpredictable and can be short.Time is precious so l am so glad that you have made some very positive decisions on how to use your time well.
