Please excuse my lack of makeup and pedicure action...
Here are my ideas for my upcoming attendance of a military Change of Command ceremony (held on my birthday). As suggested by the forum, I chose a conservative dress with a high neck and low hem. Tried it with my dressier blazers: a tuxedo jacket and this lace & sequined jacket (waving at MaryK!).
Do either of these work? I can layer my dressy Karen Millen coat over either of these options.
If I go with the black jacket, I'm thinking it might need... I dunno, a sequined belt or something? A little touch of celebratory spirit. I am also leaning toward the black shoes to bookend my hair.
