Today’s orphans are based on another unworn polyester summer top, white polka dots on pale grey. The pants were not worn this summer but I had planned to wear them a lot. They are old EF crepe pull-ons that can be worn full length or rolled to ankle length or shorter. Shoes are old snake patterned loafers that need replacing and bag has not been worn this season I don’t think. It is a pewter/silver studded rectangular clutch/crossbody that actually works pretty well. To bland? The top is a bit too transparent and shows the pants under it.

I think it looks really good Joy. I like the pattern mix. The transparency doesn’t seem to be an issue from where I sit.

Thank you Brooklyn. I think adding a topper mar help so I will try again when cooler days are back. I like the polka dots but do not see them much any more.

Friday’s orphans. Another polyester top, this time in a zebra print with o spring- bought pair of Multiples black clam diggers. The top is no worn once because polyester and too warm. The clam diggers were worn once because the are black. The gold espadrilles have not been worn at all this year because, I think dealing with the ankle strap puts me off. It needs more holes but that would interfere with the gold studs on them. The brand is Marc Fisher. The coral necklace does not get worn much because it needs some repair, but I like the color. Earrings are the big gold tropical leaves. They are getting some wear, at least but are a bit overwhelming on me. The bag gets worn because it is black and white with gold hardware. Should this outfit get more wear. I found a wardrobe hole...coral summer bracelets.i find that I like those thread friendship bracelets as they are light and easily worn mixed with other types. Do you have a favorite type of summer jewelry?

So pretty Joy! Yeah, I have a lot that has gone unworn. Neither going anywhere nor any real scorching weeks so far this year…

Thank k you, Rachylou. Those conditions make it hard to wear many things. Much of what I am trying to wear is because of not going anywhere for two summers. The weather does not help. Our present climate does not have the long hot fall I was used to. I will need long pants and toppers to extend the season of some of my summer stuff.
I still keep seeing crops offered. I hope retail soon goes back to longer lengths and warm colors.

I'm still wearing lots of black and white plus prints - waiting for the weather to change ( 90 degrees today and tomorrow ;( ). Polyester tops are the big "no" in my wardrobe - some flow-y skirts work though even in summer heat.

I’ve worn most of my summer clothes but I have been wearing my year round jewelry. Time to bring out my summer jewelry. Thanks for the reminder.

Thank you, slim cat and Barbara Diane. Slim st, polyester tops have become a big no for summer. I am a slow learner. Arbara Disne, get that summer jewelry out to use now. I have already delved into a few things I reserve more for fall. I will regret it later. It is still dunny with highs in the 90’s but nights are in the low 50’s.
