I could spend all day on this thread! I love every single picture that's been posted!
Toban - adorable cats and excellent photos!
Sloper - Mr Cat looks just like my Ralphie. I have a very soft spot for orange tabbies. (We never stop missing them, do we?)
Suz - yes Bowie is the white one. He has a blue eye and a green eye, so we named him after David Bowie. Total attitude! He's mellowed so much - he was feral, and for the first few years he would escape every chance he got. He's super slowed down, but that makes him extra sweet.

As someone who is sadly catless, I think this is the best thread ever! Please keep the photos coming!

Our cat does not like to get his picture taken.
He thinks he is hiding from me.
His name is Mewly cuz he has a really loud and distinctive meow that is part of his personality. He is 15 years old.

This is not my cat but an example of how my cat is...

LOL! @ indigoprint - currently without cat, but have loved 3 of them. The meme photo reminds me of Dusty, a tiny stray we got from a friend who found him licking grease off a BBQ during a frigid February day. Thought he was a kitten, but his teeth revealed he was almost 1 yo according to the vet. He never got bigger than 7 lbs. His dry kibble was triangular, and he used to bite the corners off and leave these tiny round bits in the dish! He wouldn’t finish the food, and would look mournfully at me until I gave him a new bowl of kibble, which he would attack with gusto - until the corners were gone. I probably threw out half the kibble I bought for him!

MsMary You have a Felix too! Love these stories. My Felix (9 months) was hunting a small piece of bread all over the apartment last night.

Two of my favorite kitty cartoons from recent years.

Suntiger, OMG! Double trouble!

So much cuteness in one thread!
This is Princess Leia, the fluffiest princess on the planet!
She came to us a little more than two years ago as a tiny teeny rescue and is a big fluffy girl now. Her current favorite thing to do is to stand in front of the door and meow to be let outside. She is a strictly indoor cat and she is not allowed to go out. So she has developed some ninja tactics to flee whenever the door is even the slightest bit open.

My favorite cat haiku:

Want to go outside
Oh, no! Help! I got outside
Let me back inside

Bella, Leia is what is known as a door dasher.

April, love the haiku!!

When I came home from work, Mr. Cat was waiting at the back door to go out. I'd walk through the house to the front door, to get the mail, and he'd be right there, ready to come in and eat. We eventually "retired" him from outside, he didn't like it.

Garrison Keillor has a fun song..."the in and out cat song" that echoes April's haiku.

I like dogs too. A dog thread would be fun. We are without a dog at the moment...but My Dad and 2 brothers were veterinarians so I lived a life of animals.

All these beautiful and playful cats! I am catless too but adore both cats and dogs.

Awwww! Too fun. I love cats, and dogs! I grew up with both, and had cats when I was a young adult and working and going to school a lot (dogs required more home time than I had!).

At the ranch we had two cats, both of whom we loved but they were basically found strays who were used to living outside and hunting mice. Both of them disappeared which made us so sad. One of the things about ranch life that was troubling. The first one was Dusty, and the second one was Manny.
