Lovely friends. It's been 1 week, and I'm able to type this without weeping, so am making some progress as the worst of the grief recedes. I still haven't brought myself to look at the hundreds of photos and videos of Kedi on my phone yet. In time. My heart goes out to each and every one of you who empathize with this particular love and loss. I said never again last Monday night, but I am sure we will be ready to find another adorable kitten soon to keep our big boy, Bowie, company, and to receive this abundance of love that currently has no where to go.
And now I am teary...

I am very sorry to hear that you are still grieving.
This may be a crazy idea, but have you thought about making a donation in your beloved cat's name to a NGO that helps street cats/dogs in Turkey? There are so many of these animals, and NGOs are having a very hard time financing their operations. Your dollars would go a long way, with the currency rate being what it is.
