Hi Mo! yep, both of those are cap sleeves, it can either be a separate sleeve piece(s) or cut as one with the bodice. Jonesy, that's a cap sleeve as well. i sew, and cap sleeves are very big right now, so i'm seeing all different type of constructions out there, but they are all termed 'cap sleeves'.

putting it in anatomical terms, it seems that cap sleeves cover the deltoid muscles - once you start hitting the bicep/triceps you're in 'short sleeve' territory. (this is the only way i could think of to put it!)
