Supposedly the Pinterest founders are working on the issue of being able to move your pins around on one board (that drives me crazy too!)

I love Pinterest - it not only gives me a place to "collect" ideas and images - but I also love looking at all of the beautiful, unusual, funny, etc. "stuff" - its also a place where I can express myself creatively - making up new boards and deciding how to categorize things. Its just fun - I don't spend a whole lot of time actually "thinking" about it - I just "do" it!

I also love the fact that I can follow people from all over the world and get a glimpse of their lives, perspective, thoughts, etc. etc.

One thing that I like about it is that when I see something that tickles my fancy, I can "save" it by pinning it and then later go back and decide if its something I really do want to "save" for later - or what it is about it that got my attention, etc. - its something that I do a LOT with fashion and styles.

I love following people and love having people follow me! Its just fun!

We (the organization that I volunteer for - an animal rescue group) does Pinterest and its great the amount of free publicity we get through it and the amount of activity we get at our local animal shelter because of things people saw on our pinterest board.

Please follow! I'm going to follow everyone who has posted here - I am looking for some inspiration!

Una, the chronological order to the pins in a board drives me crazy too! I actually wait sometimes to pin a certain item until I have discovered something else that I want to pin on my board, because I don't want say three pairs of shoes directly next to each other. I try to control the look of my boards that way - at least a bit - and it works fairly well.

Buahaha, I gave up on it. I just save to my iPad instead. It felt like people were stalking me. LOL. Well, I do stalk Angie's pinterest!!!

This is interesting. I joined pinterest when it was still in beta testing and they did not preload you with boards to follow at that time. Do they make everyone start off with the same boards?

I'm very snobby about my pinterest page. I love it for a quick fix of looking at beautiful things, so I follow boards that inspire me, not necessarily (almost never) the boards of my real life friends.

I'm following someone, who must be a ylf member, but I can't figure out who she is. She has great pins!

PSA: Many of my facebook friends had their pinterest boards hacked and loaded with marketing materials. Keep your eye out.

Thanks for the Facebook warning, Traci! I also follow boards of to me strange people if I really like what they're pinning. I'm getting much more new input that way! I started not so long ago and if I remember right I had to chose from different pictures and then I ended up with the boards I was following. I kept the style and fashion boards because they had aesthetics I liked. I still repin from them from time to time.

I use it mostly for linking to recipes that I like or want to try. It's my new virtual cookbook!

Also, I LOVE following Angie. It's like those short shopping rec blog posts she does here but more frequent. You get to see specific items that are catching her eye at the moment, and viewing them all together lets me see how her style is evolving as it happens. It's absolutely fascinating, and very informative.

Thanks for the help adding photos. I'm always on my iPad so I never saw the uploading option!
