Isabel, you are a walking healthy miracle, combatting your serious illnesses over the years. As for the toe - well - it will pass, sweet lady. It takes 6 to 8 weeks and then you'll forget all about it. I have broken four toes in my life and the story is the same. You think they will never get better - and they do, all on their own. Hang in there, and much love to you. xo

Oh no! Is this the same foot that was bothering you when we saw each other in August? Angie sure summed it up better than I ever could, so here's hoping your family listens intently for the tinkle of your little bell whenever you might need something. They are doing that, aren't they?

Oh man, Isabel. I think you may just have to break down laughing.

But you know, it's *like* - if you don't have problems, you don't exist. It's nice to exist.

Isabel- very sorry for your troubles. I get it. I am ready to host an pity party for all YLFers struggling with unresolved ortho issues that are cramping their styles, limiting their days and wearing them down. Only the best champagne will be served and all will have a foot stool and time to share a tale of woe. My prediction is that it would lead to much needed hilarity and catharsis.

Broke my foot overseas 6 months ago and my predicted 3 month recovery is but a pipe dream. Hate how little I can do comfortably between frequent bouts of nerve pain. Remind myself frequently that it could be worse, yet frustration abounds.

Here's to a strength, patience and a speedy recovery, Isabel. Feel free to vent anytime.

Angie, your comment "Isabel, you are a walking healthy miracle" cracked me up...I am not really walking all that well....hahahahaha... But you , of course, are so right. I am in good shape and the fact that you have recovered and still wear awesome shoes, gives me a lot of hope ! Thank you. XXXXX

Pil, yes it is. I am embarrassed to say. I only had 3 good weeks on that foot since June. I vacillate between laughing and being bitter. : )

Rachy, you are soooo right. Thanks for reminding me. : )

Eliza, wow, what is going on around here ?! I am so sorry to hear about your foot. It just stinks. I wish you the absolute best.

Isabel, you poor thing! It will get better, just a little patience. Hugs to you!
I really hope this is the worst health issue you have from now on!

Isabel,
I just read this!! I'm so sorry to hear about your toes .... I wish you speedy recovery and offer tons of sympathy.

BIG HUG!!!

Jen

Oh Isabel, I'm so sorry to hear this! But hey, if you need to borrow one of my Frankenboots, (I have two!) I'll bring one right over. And guess what? Two weeks ago I injured my most-recent-surgery foot. Yes that's right, back to a wrapped up foot and Frankenboot. I think when we're both better we need to meet up for a little shoe shopping
