I love how a dressy leather jacket immediately adds polish, interest and a bit of edge to almost any outfit. I want to get one to wear indoors, so no outerwear. One that is feminine, very soft (no stiff leather) and streamlined, chic, and as versatile as possible.

Three questions:

1. Although I think black leather is super stylish, I'm not sure it would be the best colour for me. It can look very harsh with my complexion. (see pic below).
Cognac and tan are super chic too, but unfortunately aren't good colours for me either.
So should I look for something in the grey/taupe family?
(P.S. I also love green, blue, red and purple leather, but these are perhaps less versatile? An off-white one is definitely on my wish list, but maybe not for Fall and Winter.)

2. Should I keep the style as simple as possible? Should I look for a cropped one?
Which styles would you recommend?

3. In the picture below I'm wearing a black pleather jacket from H&M. I wanted to experiment with black leather, but I feel neither the colour nor the style are the most flattering on me, and it looks quite stiff. Should I keep it or let it go?-)
