busty ladies: how do you store your bras?

I finally broke down and decided that after 48 years of gravity and 2 children, the girls needed more help than they were getting. So, I purchased several of these bras with majorly molded cups. I've always stored (um, shoved) my bras in a dresser drawer, but I'm afraid I'll smash the heck out of this very expensive bra. Any suggestions? How do you store this sort of bra?

Those are great bras, Sarah! You will love how they lift "the girls" and make you feel young again:) You pose a good question, mine need better storage as they get caught when I open my dresser. Will check back for ideas.

I am very busty (34H) and wear bras similar to what you bought. I would't dream of putting them in a drawer! If you aren't careful with them, the cups will dimple and sometimes they don't recover!

I hang mine in the closet. I hang one by a strap on one side of the hanger and another on the other. Does that make sense?

I machine wash mine in a mesh bag on the perm press cycle. Then I hook the clasps and hang the bra to dry with the cups smooth. Does that make sense? In the morning I'll take a pic. My bras always cost $70+ so I try to take really good care of them!

I am admittedly not busty, but I do have some molded cup bras. I store them nestled inside each other, lined up in the drawer, like so.

I do store mine in a drawer, but it is very roomy and they are not smushed at all. Very similar to how Mo's are stored.

What Mo said and pictured. The Dream Tisha bra looks like it needs a deep drawer to stand up though.

JennyK -- my bras do not get dimpled or crushed from storing them like Mo. But mine do get wavy / wrinkled looking in the cups from machine washing. Sometimes even from hand washing, although to a much lesser extent. Do you have a trick or a brand that does not get wrinkled in the cup (aside from bras that do not have molded cups). Lately I have been switching to non-molded bras even though you can see way more, because I am sick of the fast deterioration of foam cup bras, even or perhaps I should say especially $70 Natoris.

Cocolion, I machine wash my molded cup bras in a mesh bag on gentle, then lay them flat to dry. I have not had problems with dimpling or deterioration of the foam. My bras are more in the mid-price range. I do have a front load washer, so perhaps that makes a difference? How frustrating to have those expensive bras get ruined.

im 36D or 34DD between those two and like MO i have a special drawer and hand washed them so they will keep their shape have lots of alternatimes to wear each day ...don't wear the same bra for 2 day or more cuz you will ruin the shape fast

@ Cocolion - in my experience Le Mystere holds up way better than Natori - I've had some of these for two years and they are still fine. I machine wash, in a mesh bag.

I store mine the same way Mo does. Works well for molded cups.

Thanks, you all inspired me to clean all the old undies and hosiery that I haven't worn for 5 years (!) to create room so I can store they in a drawer like Mo's. Hooray!

Cocolion - I machine wash in a mesh bag on the perm press cycle. As soon as the cycle is finished, I take out the bra, hang it as shown, and smooth out the cups. I don't disturb it until it's completely dry. This has worked well for me.

I store mine the way Mo does and the drawers are deep enough that the cups don't get dimpled or crushed.

On the subject of washing, I recently had a fitting at the Fancy Bra Store, and the owner there told me that it's not a good idea to wash bras in the machine, even on the hand wash cycle, even in a mesh bag. She recommended hand washing with plain baby shampoo, of all things, then rolling them in a towel to remove excess water before hanging to dry. I've been doing that and although it was a bit difficult to get the routine going, it's in place now and the bras still look brand new.

FWIW, Dream Tishas go on sale at NAS, or at least the more expensive ones with lace at the top. And the print Dream Tishas, or at least the ones I ordered from the Rack, are sized way differently.
