Love the pants. My favorites are #7, #8 and #12 but they are not the only ones I liked.

Thanks so much for all the feedback! I've had so much fun with this, and I'm excited to wear a few of these. Once I got past the mental block about *what colors I wear with what*, it was quite liberating! I've been mentally sorting through some orphans tonight. I think I'll put a few of them through this same exercise.

Thanks so much for the inspiration, Angie!

3, 6, 7, 8, are my favourites, but, I like all of them really - except for #2.
Great colour trouser.

2,4,6,7,10,13 --- favorites of mine, but all of them work really nicely. The pink with the taupe is a particularly fresh combo to my eye.

My great-aunt Lucille never wore pants. Ever. Until Uncle Stacy died. After that, she bought a new washer/dryer (she still had a wringer washer in the 90's) and, at the age of 93, wore her first pair of pants. They were hot pink. She called them "hot pants."

I loved my Aunt Lucille. She was 6 ft tall in her prime (still 5'8" at 95). That's a lot of hot pants!

They all look good to me but my favorites are 7,8,10 ,&12. You came up with a nice variety of looks. I hope that you'll wear them often. They are happy pants.

What a great exercise! I really ought to do this for *shorts I hardly wear* too.

I Love #4,6,9,10 & 12. I also really like the striped top with the pants. Despite being pink, these are surprisingly versatile!!!! They look good with all tops here....just that we all have favourites based on our own preferences. But all of these work

All great. I'd only pass on 2 and 5 - I like the semi tuck better.

Wow, great pants, and quite a big capsule from your existing closet! I like them all, particulary with the patterned tops and except nr 11(find the color of the top too muddy for the bright hot pink).

Okay, can finally see the blocked pictures. So excited! I love the color of the pants and they fit you very well. Somehow in my mind I thought they were a lighter 'hot' pink. Seeing the pictures really helped. I think the dark dotted top looks really well with the pants, good contrast.

I keep misreading the title of this thread as pink hot pants!! That could be some styling fun Carter:)

I did too Sally - pink hot pants ! Eek! Anyways, I'm not good at all at sorting through a lot of photos and figuring out what is what - but I do like these pants on you and am following along with interest . I'm really in the market for some nice fitted cropped pants - will be out looking again this week.

I'm another person who read "pink hot pants" Carter do you actually have any of those leftover from ....what decade was it.....?

Everything looks pretty great to me but I'm liking the mushroom/taupe tops the best...seems more sophisticated than black/white or prints to my eye.

I like 3 and 7. I have a pair of orchid pink trousers (that are too tight ATM, ahem) and I always loved to wear them using Angie's "ice cream inspired" capsule. Think blueberry blue, chocolate brown, whipped cream white, pistachio green, strawberry pink, etc.

I had to go find it:

Not exactly the shade you have, but what about pairing these with pale pink or coral? Might be fun!

I'm relieved that I'm not the only one who keeps reading your title as "pink hot pants"!

Super pants!
Very random here, but:

White is a slam dunk for midsummer
Taupe and nude look great with your skin tones and hair and the pink
The navy sweater, GOLD jewelry and nude shoes are a rich, elegant version

If you wish to try other colors, think color wheel-opposites- emerald in a solid or print, or a form of teal;
Cobalt maybe for punchy color blocking, though navy is more subdued.
how would a more orangey or cognac color work? I love orange and raspberry together.

Loved all but #2. You and Tanya look great in your colored crops...makes me think I might...hah...just doesn't look the same in a size 12 LOL..

I know what you mean Cheryl. I got over my initial enthusiasm too, after picturing me in a pair. Yeah, no. No one needs to see a poufy belly highlighted in pink or red - lol.

There could possibly have been pink hot pants back in the day;-)

Thanks so much for all the input and the ideas for other colors to try. I get so stuck in my own little head about what I wear with what, that this exercise was really eye-opening.

Now I have a new orange sweater that needs some experimentation...

And Lisa and Cheryl...puuuuhleeze!
