Bra that fits like Natori Pure Luxe?

Angie’s timely posted reminded me I wanted to tap the collective knowledge about finding a bra that fits like my Natori Pure Luxe T Shirt Bra in 32D. I have tried several similar Wacoal styles and other Natoris that look similar but they aren’t as comfortable. I like the wider but pretty straps, and it seems shaped perfectly for me.

And also looking for sports bra recs that are not pullover style and don’t feel like a mammogram. Medium impact.

Any othe Pure Luxe lovers who have found suitable other styles/brands?

Bonus points if it reduces back muffin top and side boob.

Oooh! Thank you for pointing that bra out -- I'll bet it would also work for me. That is, if it comes in my band size. Which it probably does not. Or I'd have tried it already.

What makes me think it might potentially work? Well, I have had luck with the Feathers style (though I have to size up in the cup). But also, it looks like it has a wide space between the cups and that is good for my personal shape.

In looking at other styles, that is what you will be aiming for. One that has that little spacer between cups, or possibly a plunge style (like the Feathers). Another type of bra that can work for wider spaced breasts is the demi or balconette, depending on support needs, of course.

I don't have specific styles to recommend beyond that. Like you, I've tried some Wacoals which have been "okay" but not perfect. I have a Chantelle that I quite like, or rather, I quite liked it in one colour and not the other, which bit into me somehow.

I have been wearing that bra for a few years now. I also like the Feathers bra Suz shows. I have made peace with the fact that bras will never actually be comfortable on me. That said, I stumbled upon a bra at Victoria Secret recently when I needed a specific color for an outfit. It’s called body by Victoria lined perfect coverage. It has a bit more padding than the pure luxe bra, but I think it holds everything in place well and I may add another one when I need it next. I used to wear a playtex 4594 bra that worked pretty well for me, so of course that was discontinued. Also this minimizer, which is unlined, that gets worn mostly around the house.

I love Natori too! Like Suz mentioned, have you ever tried the Feathers? I had a nude one and just bought a purple one I think I'll like better, as the lace shows through a white t with the nude one.

I just bought another Natori--super comfy! I didn't see it on Nordstroms web site...not sure what it's called.

Sorry, I barely need a work out bra, so no tips there!

Dana, Suz - Thanks for the ideas. The next time I'm in a Nordstrom I will check out the Feathers - I remember it was a NAS item and never got a chance to try it. Now that you mention it, I do think I have widely spaced breasts - thanks for telling me what other styles might be worth trying.

delurked - Thanks - there is a VS at my localish mall, so I will have to check out the body line. I struggle at Macy's because most of their bras stop at a 34 band. Which is weird, because I'm not tiny, and it seems like many women need that band size or even smaller. But a minimizer is an interesting idea for certain silhouettes that I struggle with.

I remember seeing a website once that showed lots of different examples of shapes and sizes and help ID what styles would work best, but now I can't seem to find it.

Ha! I just bought this exact bra today (same blue color, and close to the same size!)...and then checked the forum for the first time in a while, and there it is!

Have you tried researching on bratabase.com? Search under make, model, and size. You will get exact dimensions of EVERYTHING and comparably cut bras. It's not perfect, but the reviews also give a sense of how various bras are cut.

Thanks for the suggestion Julie - I will look for that one - it looks nice. I really do like the Pure Lux, but own 4 of them and want to branch out a bit.

DonnaF - I did discover bratabase in my search, but unfortunately didn't see any bras listed as comparable last time I looked. I may not have been searching properly, so will go back and take another try. I will also check for comparable for the ones suggested here.

I'm going to keep an eye on this post! I find I gravitate over to Le Mystere, because they aren't too stretchy and have great support. But the quality does not seem consistent between styles or even between a single style. I've bought multiple Dream Tisha bras, and in one bra, the cup lining will remain strong and smooth, and on another, the lining seems to thin out and get wrinkly.

That being said, as a whole, they have lasted longer than most other bra brands I've tried, which includes Wacoal, Natori, and Victoria's Secret.

I have one of the Simone Perele Delice bras It is gorgeous, and the fit is divine, but it is too stretchy, and I don't get the support I need. After a few hours, my neck and shoulders start to feel fatigue.

I too love and recommend the Natori Feathers bra—it's my go-to bra, and I probably have a half dozen of them in different colors. I second Julie's recommendation of Natori's Hidden Glamour bra. Its fits well, is extremely comfortable, and the gunmetal color is gorgeous. I duplicated that color because I was afraid they might discontinue it. Now I'm off to take a look at the Pure Luxe t-shirt bra.
