I know these are not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm really wondering if I can pull them off... They feel borderline too short for me.... Too long for the style but too short for me... I definitely do not look like the 5' 11" rag and bone model in them.

Yay/ they are ok length

I don't think they're too short, but I do think they're an awkward length - either a couple inches longer or a couple inches shorter would be better.

I think this length is tough for us short people.

Not sure. Do you have other shorts for comparison? Mine are about this long, but mine hit a bit higher above the knee (because I'm taller obviously) I do kind of feel like they are right in between at this length. Can you roll one more, or one less? Or is the roll sewed into place? (I cut my BF shorts and made them shorter for me, as they hit at a place very close to this near my n knees and I found a bit shorter worked for me)

Hi Mo, The roll is sewn in place. The length is not adjustable.

I think the length is good myself. I do like the fit too. Looking for a pair myself. I find the ones in store to be tight, not very BF fit. These look good.

I think the legs are too wide for the length. Try pinning them in to se if that is the issue.

I like them. Like you said, you already have clams and slim shorts. This is a different silhouette and great for casual days. I think they are a fun option.

I like them, and think they are a good choice if you're looking for something shorter than you currently have.

I like this length on your legs -- good for overall proportions, if that makes sense. Usually, I like this length and width best in a lighter weight, like a linen, so there's real draping going on. That said, these aren't inappropriately short at all and I love the fluid fit.

BTW -- I have two pairs of BF shorts and I love 'em. Mine are adjustable, and I move the rolls to suit the overall proportions of the outfit.

I personally wear this length a lot - but I am 5'9" - I think it could work for you with another shoe choice - the cons are too closed in - perhaps with a very open sandal - and perhaps one additional roll

I think it's super cute. It's a very young look, but that can be a good thing.

I think the length work well for you. That's around the length I like my shorts.

If you like everything else about them, re-hemming this wouldn't be too hard or expensive.

I'm a general yay on BF shorts and wear them all the time in summer. Not sure these are the right pair - maybe an uncuffed frayed hem in a longer length?

I like this length. You all know I have poison eye for Bermudas so this is the length I like my shorts.

Well, I'd definitely wear these. In fact, I have a similar pair that I wear a LOT in the summer, on the weekends. They are Kut Diana's. The only difference I see from yours is that they are just a tad narrower in the leg, which I think I prefer, given that I'm not a 5'8" Rag and Bone model ; ) (FYI, mine are sized up just a bit from the way the model is wearing them). But I do like the ones you are modeling.

I don't think they look bad. I simply prefer a slightly longer short but that is my personal taste. You have nice slim legs and the proportions do look good.

I am leaning towards keeping them and your comments have definitely helped in the decision process. I like that these shorts are soft and worn. I was a little bit worried at first that they wouldn't have alot of longevity because they are already so worn out, but I think as they wear, I can put other denim patches on them and that will just add to their character over time.

I like them. I hear you on the length, but I like that these are not short-shorts and they're not bermudas. Shorts lengths are soooo tricky! This is actually one of the lengths I can wear too -- a little longer than mid-thigh (probably something like a 8" inseam). Funny because we're proportioned so differently!

OK, here are my shorts that are a similar length, although they're cutoffs unrolled (I think Lucky Brand meant for them to be rolled to short-short length, but not on me, thanks). I also have some BF type shorts that are old cutoff bootcuts that were too big after I lost weight -- I cut them off and roll them to just-below-the-knee/clamdigger length, which is the other length that seems to work pretty well for me.

It's a really casual look, to rachy's point, but we need something for really casual summer days, right?

I like cut off looser distressed shorts, but for me these seem to be sending their volume sideways rather than downward as a softer fabric would do.

I think if the leg opening was a bit narrower, even with the volume above it, that would help. For example, in RL if the roll wasn't sewn in place it wouldn't stay there, because it's not tight against your thigh, it would unravel, kind of like Janet's example. That looks more 'natural' to me.

Good point about the 15 year old at summer camp look.... I am much stricter at work but I also need things for super casual summer days at home.
