So interesting, Sal -- I'm the opposite! Maybe someone said this above, but perhaps that's because dark denim is more neutral with my dark hair color, and mid-wash denim more neutral with your lighter hair?
Interesting responses with such a range. I think people with darker hair tend to seeing dark denim as a neutral and the lighter hair see the mid wash as a neutral. But lots of individuality of course depending on how you style them and colours people prefer.
Yes, I consider denim a neutral. BUT...and your post made me realize this...when I am wearing a shirt that is a bright color (red, green, etc.), then I am more apt to treat the denim as a color.
I have dark hair, btw, and I think I would consider all washes neutral (except for the caveat above, considering what happens when paired with a "true" color).
