Jenni NZ, I think you’re right, we have similar body types and I too am 5”1”. Once I get the fit right I look next at “flattery” – do I think it looks good on me? This skirt does not It's totally subjective, but it's my body, my clothing, so I get to decide:-)

Firecracker, yes he is a riot. The king of the wise crack, and he particularly likes to make “literal” references from time to time on my clothing. Like the time I was wearing cuffed, slightly cropped summer pants.a few years ago… “are you planning to go fishing with Huck Finn?”

RobinF, well for this particular clothing choice, you are right that I'm not second guessing any more. Not sure I've stopped doing it in a general sense Part of the overthinking gene.
