I think it's fine, but since you mentioned polka dots, black tights and red shoes--will it look like you're trying to channel Minnie Mouse? I don't think it necessarily will, but just wanted to throw that out there for you to consider when looking in the mirror.

Alaskagirl, I love them. The color is fabulous and they're so comfortable.

The art director at my office gave me a nickname today - "Shoes." He's the only straight man I know, and that includes my husband, who notices my shoes, so I want to get my outfit right tomorrow. I have a reputation to uphold!

I'll try a few different kinds of hose in the morning and see what I like best.

I did gray tights today with my black dress, black-and-white tweedy jacket, and red shoes. I really liked it and it didn't feel so matchy-matchy. Just another option to consider.

Can't wait to see pics! Personally, I don't think I'd do the black tights - maybe gray like MaryK, or sheer black stockings - but I'd have to see it first before I could really say!
