Holy cow does your hair grow fast! I love the grey...you make it look edgy!

Shannon! Another inspiration! I am gritting my teeth to be done with this process, but more and more the thought of not having to bother with color and dread the roots is just so appealing. As Caro said, more money for shoes! Or a Burberry if I ever find one that fits. I'm thinking my color costs me a coat a year!

Yes, a shorter angled bob is in the works - I'm considering a cut like the the blogger we all just admired, which is what I had a while ago...

Wow, I can't get over how great your growing-out gray looks. What's so amazing is that it looks very subtle, lacking an obvious demarcation line. It looks like a great choice you've made! It will be gorgeous when it has all grown out, too.

It's really cool Una - and I predict that it's going to bring an additional level of edginess to your style. I'm envious that you have such beautiful, thick, dark hair - if mine was like yours I'd be going gray also - but alas, I have thin, fine, brownish-blondish-grayish- hair and the only thing I've found that gives it any life or shine at all is hair-dye! Weird, huh?

It really suits you. Incredibly elegant!

Fantastic! Keep at it... it will be the best thing you will do... so to speak. It looks great!

Oh cut some off and you will have a perfect ombre - YAY!

Cool - does it ever grow fast!!!

Loving it and loving the concept of embracing change, too! You have beautiful hair and I love the emerging color.

I have grey by my temples and think more and more about adding less competition with the blonde highlights and letting the natural-to-me highlights come through.

I love it! And you are already past the worst part: the first few months when everyone is wondering if you forgot to make a hair appointment. You have entered the period where it is obviously on purpose. And it looks great! I love the steely gray.

Brenda, how is your hair these days? I would love to see and I miss you!

Thanks Marley! And everyone for the amazing encouragement. This is truly the best group of women anywhere.

Looks like your hair grows very fast. I think this is looking fantastic and cannot wait to see it when it's all grown out. What sort of responses are you getting from people?

Ohhhhhhhhh..... It's looking grayt!

I'm so glad you are sticking with this, it's going to look wonderful (IMHO) and the freedom of not colouring is hard to describe.

I think you must have got the message by now - your hair looks fabulous! You are lucky in that your new growth harmonises perfectly with the coloured section, and that the grey is an edgy steel colour. I hope you are going to keep your new, natural colour because it is stunning on you. It's going to save you so much hassle and money, too - what a bonus!

I miss being here more. My hair is getting whiter by the month. I'm not thrilled but I'm just rolling with it. My husband LOVES my hair so I'm doing my best to enjoy it too. I know that dying it just means going back to constant roots showing and I'm not wiling to do that. I'm very glad I grew out my hair when I did.
