I embrace part of this style as I live in a coastal city and swim at the beach every Sunday morning with a friend. My problem is that I don't like gardening at all. I occasionally get inspired by beautiful gardens and think I may like gardening, but after getting my hands dirty in the garden, I go off the idea very quickly.

Oh my this is my (at least aspirational)
summer style to a T! I saw that film with Diane Keaton in the beach house and I thought, she's wearing my clothes!

A couple of years ago I met up with my daughter in her quaint town-by-the-sea and she laughed that I was hard to pick out among the crowd of khakis, deck shoes, and Tilley hats!

So, I'm neither wealthy nor retired, but I am coastal, and, finally, about to become a grandma! So, if the shoe fits...

I liked both films, the one with Diane Keaton and the one with Meryl Streep. I can admire the look on others but wear none of those pieces myself and the lifestyle is very removed from my own…but never say never.
My sister is semi retired and her daughters and her wear a certain type of clothes that has a similar vibe but are mainly flowing dresses; Arnheim. It could be the cottage grandmas daughter.

Oh, I'm all about casual comfort, fashion-wise so I guess I'd qualify if I lived on the coast

This is my dream style and dream life ... Enjoy it in every sense, Mainelady!
