I'd go longer on the top. Try mid-thigh or a few inches above the knee. Try a petite dress if you can't find the right top. Also, opt for a straighter skinny as opposed to a tapered one. That might look nicer.

“Crotch point” is a term that’s used in pattern making and tailoring. I can’t think of another word.If you can think of one – let me know!

Try Nordstrom or Macys or another department store Nicole. They will inevitably have tons of tops to try on. The nice thing about skinnies/straight legs is that you can fold them up to see what they'll look like at the right length. Also bring the shoes you plan to wear with them, since skinnier leg openings show more shoe...that might also be the answer to your disappointment at having to cover up your shoes.

I think you would look great in that Tulle top and some straight skinnies. I always like to try and find pieces that not everyone can pull off, but that *I* can pull off...if that makes sense. Most people wouldn't be able to wear that Tulle top, but you can, so I would go for it.

I don't think that tulle shirt dress will fit over my bust. Even the XL bust measurement is 39. It's cotton spandex, so it will have a little give, but I don't think it'll be enough. Bummer

Maya....How about this beltless shirt dress? It's fitted, it's bright, it has sleves (long sleeves though)....and you'd have to shorten it.

Edit, another one from Spiegel available in more colors...but it's much longer...shortening it alot might ruin it.
