sarah, thanks for the info on Gap. I was just looking at a few of their options so I'm glad to have your thumbs-up. Also good point that inseam may matter more than whether something is technically petite. I need to do a little more research/thinking to figure out what my sweet spot is.
Suz, makes sense that not everyone who is technically petite requires petite items (I NEVER buy petite tops). Although my legs are proportionally long, my rise is short, and I think that's what's driving me to seek a specialized cut. I can often make regular loungewear hit at the right spots (waist and length) by folding the waistband over, but...I just don't want to do that anymore if I can avoid it.
FashIntern, haha, we're on the same wavelength.
Ooh, La Ped, are those Uniqlo joggers woven? How interesting. I hadn't considered something like that.
Thanks La Ped, Toban, and karen13 for the Athleta recommendation. I'll definitely check them out. I think I do want something that's soft rather than synthetic, BUT it would be great if my lounge pants could double as to-and-from-the-gym pants (I swim, so I don't need the pants to be workout gear). I'm realizing I'm still in the "what exactly do I want?" phase here.
kkards, no retail stone unturned! Thanks for the tip.
Angie, now that you mention Anthropologie, OF COURSE! But I never would have thought of them on my own. Many thanks!
