So pleased to hear you had a wonderful trip. Sending good wishes and positive thoughts on the scan!

Its great to hear from you Tanya, sending you best wishes and positive thoughts from England.

I know we catch up officially off YLF, but I'm chiming in anyway to wish you well for your scan. And that I'm thrilled that things are so much better than they were 6 months ago. Much love always my little sis. xo

It's so good to hear from you, Tanya! I am very happy for your good health news, and hoping the fatigue subsides soon. Sounds like you had a wonderful trip visiting family. I'm glad to have you back on the forum!

Wishing you well for your upcoming scan. Congrats on the earlier good test results.

I wanted to second what texstyle said. My mom has similar experience to texstyle. Though your thyroid issues are different than my mom's, many doctors don't treat with T3 combined with T4, only T4, so it's worth mentioning. They might treat with Cytomel (synthetic T4 & T3 combined) if they won't look at Armour (natural T4 & T3 combined) . My mom finds docs who will prescibe the Armour and drops those insistent on synthetic T4 (Synthyroid or Levothyroxine (sp?).

She has not tried Cytomel (synthetic T4 & T3 combined). One of my mom's nurses has similar issues and prefers the Cytomel over Armour because Armour makes her more anxious. In addition to the fatigue, constipation, fuzzy thinking, pains in her legs, and possibly depression, all plague her without the T3 component.

Mary Shomon's books explains more. Shomon is pretty alternative but for some people 'alternative thyroid treatment' is a god-send.

Why would your docs let you suffer this killer fatigue if thyroid supplementation would solve it?

I am so happy to read all this !! YAY !!!!!!

Tanya, we never hear about the effects of radiation treatments. Mostly just the effects of chemo. But radiation, for some reason, is exhausting. It is somewhat of a mystery since it doesn't effect iron levels or the absorption of vitamins and minerals in any discernible way. But it can be debilitating. It can also take a while to get over completely. The good news is that you will have fewer and shorter periods of feeling exhausted. I suspect that it will happen faster for you since you are so young. Coincidentally, I was talking to a woman who's mom had radiation for breast cancer and she is utterly wiped out. I still struggle with it sometimes. It is very common.

You are on your way beautiful lady !!!! : )

Many hugs, beautiful Tanya. Wonderful news about your health and that you are back safely from a good trip, seeing your family, and back at work. You have been through a lot of stress physically and emotionally. Your body needs rest and time to recover.

Welcome back! That's great news about the iodine treatment. As for the fatigue, what can I say? It is what it is. Just enjoy the sleep... hehe, it's my fave thing to do. You totally must share about Milan fashion!

I am so glad you are on the mend. With time, things will improve even more. I am very happy for you and look forward to the next opportunity for us to meet again. That strep throat was a total bummer

Welcome back - it is fantastic to hear good news about your health. We should plan a DC meetup later this summer.

So glad you were able to enjoy some time with your family Tanya and such good news that your health is improving. Wishing you continued health and happiness
