I haven't posted for months and months. It's nice to see everyone. I've gone further to the dark side with my style - black and more black. Just contemplating some basics in this sale but would love to fall in love with some beautiful black statement pieces. I ordered the Paul Green Loafers (in black) and a sheer black scarf (not in the sale). Still contemplating but I thought I would play along. Dresses are for the dress over pant silhouette.

Same on not saying much lately (anywhere, really, for me), same on back to black! I'm skewing post-punk and postapocalyptic. I don't really go classic much myself anymore.

Although I think most times YLFers have seen me, whether IRL or in pics, I've incorporated black. But overall, my use of (and certainly additions of) it has been wayyy down. Finally realized that I missed it, no matter how well I like what I've been wearing.

My fave of your picks: the lace dress. Which I totally do not need... It's pretty in the plum/burgundy too! And cannot argue with the price.

Wow! Welcome back! There's nothing wrong with black overload when it loves you back. It all looks great, but the Leith short dress seems like a perfect choice for the dress over pants silhouette.

Suzanne - I'm firmly in black but have mixed in some grays. But I prefer the black. I totally understand where you are coming from. The love of black is very real. And I'm intrigued by that dress as an interesting layering piece. Which there were more unusual pieces...

Ah, gray...*love* gray. Darker ones, and preferably not heathered. Though I've allowed a few mid or lighter here and there. And enjoy gray with black as well. My bank account, though, is pleased that there aren't so many unusual pieces...

You'll layer the dresses over pants? Nice idea. I have a similarish dress that is black lace based but has purple flowers in it--might steal your idea and see how it flies.

Suzanne -- Still playing with dress over pants. Let me know how it goes for you. We need those beautifully unusual pieces -- I haven't searched out ASOS, Farfetched, Mango, etc. Need to break out but some how starting a relationship with new stores has me paralyzed.

AM, I haven't done Farfetch, but ASOS and Mango have become fave hunting grounds. English brands do tend to have more post-punkable things than American ones. And oops, something black has been on its way to me from Mango since yesterday...

Nice picks, I'm on team black too! But I stray to color a bit in the spring/summer. I purchased the TT coat, the turtleneck version of the cold shoulder top, and am still contemplating the PG loafers. They are a bit of a wildcard for me.

AM, I've had no trouble with ASOS or Mango returns, but as I remember, Mango doesn't cover return postage?...There might be something about that they do if you ask for an exchange, but I've never tried that option, so not sure what they're doing right at the moment. In any case, no matter what the policy details have been, I've had no problems with them taking back items. HTH!
