Looks like a wonderful trip! I would have asked you for directions too, you fit right in. Just lovely!

Sveta,
The photos are so lovely! It reminds me of my trip there last summer with my twin sister, younger sister and 83 year old mother. Your pictures remind me of how much I loved Paris! Did you have a favorite cheese? I discovered so many types of goat cheese and just loved it.

Thank you for sharing my journey with me and for your compliments. This was the first trip when I felt very confident and I credit YLF and all of you for this feeling!
Rae, I confess I did not get the "plumber effect", I googled it unsuccessfully We stayed in Marais which is apparently a gay bar area so I have seen my share of tight jeans and tops But other than that I did like how Parisian men dressed - actually they left a bigger impression on me that the women.
Parsley, I did not get to COS. I did get a silk scarf in the boutique in Montmartre though... We did not have champagne but we had hot chocolate in Angelina. Pure indulgence!!!
I like your recipe to get my hubby to wear scarves, must follow it!
Sarah A, your hubby is a trooper, I hope he will try the scarves!
Claire, let's figure it out together How about "Get your hubby to wear a scarf" challenge?
Manidipa, that guy in pic.6 really captured my attention: he looked so effortlessly stylish and confident in the same time...I guess my folks thought me crazy to take pictures of this guy
Sona, I will ask my mom about posting her picture: I would need to describe to her what is YLF first though... I think she looked great too: some credit goes to me as I helped her to pack
Angie, I was really happy I listened to you and took the trench!
Suz, my mom loved the trip even though it was not all she expected. I guess her biggest disappointment was the french men: for some reason she expected them to be gallant gentlemen... I told her she mixed them with English
Meredith, I absolutely loved goat cheese and always selected crepes with it in the cafes. My biggest disappointment was that I could not bring cheese to Canada

Sveta, it's so great to see these pics of you looking so gorgeous in Paris!!! I have been thinking about you, wondering about how your trip was going.

You look really effortlessly chic and glamorous in these pics--truly FAB! I love that you were asked directions in French :). You really nailed the packing for this trip, and it shows so much.

The plumber effect refers to men bending down, with low-riding jeans, so you can see the top part of their butt crack (sorry if anyone is grossed out :).

Did little Winnie, Pooh, and Tigger give you lots of lovin' when you got home??

Jonesy, I thought about you in Paris when I saw so many patterned pants in the stores. I was tempted but unfortunately I am not slim enough for French sizes
Thanks for "plumber effect" description - I did not see it in Paris at all.
My kitties were a lot of joy when I got home - I missed them so much!

Sveta, Paris has never looked better than with you in it. You do indeed look like a native with your effortless chic style. Your photos are picture postcard perfect. Sounds like the trip of a lifetime!

Ooh, patterned pants and kitty kisses :)! I'd probably be sized out too--aren't their any tall women in France?

Your kitties must have been so happy to see you (hubby too :)!

Kyle, thanks. I hope Paris is missing me right now
Jonesy, you may have better luck there as you are one size smaller than me on the bottom. I did not see many tall women there and they are really pretty slim so I guess these sizes work for them...luckily I live in North America: it is so very self image damaging to be in the largest size in the store!

Awesome pictures, Sveta! You look like you fit right in, very Parisian. What a special time to share with your mom. Such great memories to reflect on for a lifetime. My daughter and I were in Paris last year about this time for a mother daughter trip, we stayed in the Marais area as well (Angie recommendation) Loved it!

Thanx for sharing your impressions! You look gorgeous in each pictie!

Sveta, I'm not sure how I missed this post before! Amazing photos. So glad you had a great time. I'm sure you set a new style standard for North American travelers to Paris! Welcome back!

You look better than I've ever seen you. Those French women must have been so envious.

Welcome back! You look so, so fab. Glad you had a great time with your mom!

Beautiful pictures and you look amazing. Thankyou for sharing.

I've read this post several times. I love Paris and reading what you have written and looking at your photos is almost like being there again. You looked wonderful and I'm not surprised you were mistaken for a local.

Thanks for all the lovely photos and Paris recap! You look ultra chic in the asymmetrical leather jacket and scarf! And I love your observation about the men. I am going to talk to my bf about it! NAmerican men need to get with the fashion program already.
