First, I hope that everything is OK with your papa's health. It's nice that you got to spend time with him and your brother. Did Sam make the trip with you? I hope he was he a good boy on the plane ride.

It looks like your wardrobe served you well.

You look so good, and so happy to be with your father. We're glad to have to back on YLF, though!

I always enjoy a sneak peek into your personal album. Papa is looking lovely as always and it sounds like you really nailed your trip capsule, yay! Inge looks lovely in the pink jumper, a really pretty shade on her. Glad you had a nice trip!

What a wonderful trip & lovely photos Glad your packing was perfect too.

Welcome back. Such lovely photos -- especially the photo of you and your papa. Glad you had a good visit and that your travel was smooth.

I love seeing your travel capsule and your travel photos so much! Hurrah for you and Inge and Hurrah for you being reunited with family. I know how hard it is when everyone is so spread out from each other. I hope your papa is doing well. Your pictures remind me of Germany, which I miss a lot. Wishing you all the best as always. I am sure you are now warm and cozy with Greg and Sam. Also, Angie, my husband was looking over my shoulder just now and said he loves your glasses and that you look like such a happy and positive person. That is just how she is, I said!

P.S. That citron scarf and coat look so amazing together I could scream.

P.P.S. I would like to borrow some of your polish.

Welcome back! Thanks for sharing your lovely photos. You all look happy and chic. I also find myself snapping random photos of dogs when I am away from mine. And I love that they are allowed everywhere. Makes me want to emigrate.

Nice pictures from your trip. I really like the navy coat and the scarf with the citron coat. Glad your wardrobe met your needs. It is very cool that you got to visit with Inge in person.

Should I be embarrassed to admit that my favorite photos are numbers 1, 7 and 38? I love looking at dogs and flowers. Angie looks breathtaking in yellow.

Thanks so much for sharing your time away with us this way Angie.

Thanks for sharing your family photos and those of your trip. I hope you had a wonderful time and that Mr Sam is happy to have mommy home.

Fabulous pictures, love all the wonderful food ones and the family photos.

Your trip and you look wonderful. The people, the places, the food. And it is beyond helpful to see a travel capsule come to life. Thank you!

Thank you for these wonderful, heart warming pictures. I found them so evocative of both Europe and winter. The food pictures are as good as the street pictures, but nothing beats the fabulous selfies of you with your family and Inge. Hugo resembles your dad as you do your mom. Inge looks fantastic. #25 belongs on a wall. I love seeing your gorgeous green eyes in close up too!

I can't believe the temperatures were so low and you look that amazing. I don't look that good when it's 50F.

I'm glad you had such a good trip.

I loved looking at your photos! The outfits looked lovely, the food looked delicious, and you and your family looked so happy to be together.

And Angie, you have such beautiful eyes!

What a lovely set of pictures! Your family resemblance is uncanny, all positive, happy, shining people - it warms my heart. Welcome back home!

Lovely photos. Heart warming and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. Your father looks very pleased to be with you and your brother. I love your orange jumper!

Such gorgeous photos! Your packing was perfection, from the sound of it. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! That looks like a very worthwhile, multi-faceted trip. All good thoughts to your family. Great that you got to visit with Inge- love to see you together in your super polished outfits.

You look amazing in every photo; the outfits are beautiful and your skin is glowing. The citron coat and scarf with your specs are showstoppers, it is great to see your winterized crops in action, and high 5 on the ink puffer, bright orange bag look. I've been wearing my new ink almost puffer (all but the traditional puffs) and small bright orange retro bag all week. High happiness factor in all your looks!

Bonus pics of food, charming locale and adorable Sam are also appreciated. Welcome home!

Gorgeous photos Angie. Your father looks very happy in the pictures. He must enjoy the visits with you and your brother. You look fantastic in the chartreuse coat and scarf. Such a great colour for you. Inge looks lovely in her lilac coat. Thank you for sharing for trip with us.

Beautiful pictures. I loved looking at them.

Sam is so adorable - so happy to have you back! These are amazing photos. You and Inge look so amazing in your colourful coats - so wonderful on a cold, dark, snowy day. As for the food, you chose well, everything looks so delicious (and lots of healthy food in the mix too - those salads are a feast for the eyes they are so colourful).

Thanks for the vicarious trip to a gorgeous place. Just what I needed on a dull winter day. Love seeing all the candid photos of you. In every one you look as fresh as a daisy. I'm impressed that your papa is still independent at 85! I've had an epiphany this week that I'm now faced with aging parents and need to find a new normal. This thread gave me the nudge to start considering what this means and how to make sure that I n my dealings I err on the side of dignity not judgement.

Angie, I am late here but thank you so much for sharing your packing process and the absolutely gorgeous results!! What an amazing trip. Such yummy food, fun and colourful sights, and family and friend togetherness. LOVED seeing your fantastic outfits. I am wishing even more I had found a version of that puffer. I must keep looking out. (I found it but not in ink, only grey and...well...no. I have a grey puffer already.) Inge, waving at my gorgeous coat twin! You both look wonderful, and I also adore the photos with the family.

Wow, will have to come back to read all when having some me time, now browsing the picties only and wanted to say my top 3 of all times are nr 12 (with Inge in that gorgeous orchid sweater), nr 31 (for the esp. yummy colors) and nr 46 (for the family happiness)!!! Welcome back!

Thank you for the kind words and wishes, ladies. Sorry to be responding late. Had lots to do on my first day back, and felt a bit out of it.

Ginger, did you see my holiday outfit? Here you go, and thanks for the enthusiastic compliments:

Bonnie, Emily K, Diana, Xtabay, Elle, Sarah F, Style Fan and Joyce, you’re honey-pies. Thanks for being wonderfully warm.

Rachy, YES. Hugo looks like Dad. Especially as he gets older.

JAileen, terriers are excellent watch dogs…..and all round brilliant dogs (not that I am biased or anything…)

Sara L, these pics were carefully curated so that the readers wouldn’t get bored! I think it CAN be boring looking at someone else’s trip, especially when there is no context. Here, you had the context of the capsule as a foundation - a fashion and style related topic. Glad you enjoyed them.

Smittie, I deliberately took and shared the pic of the one of three women I saw in heels.

Ledonna, delurked, Deb, Anne, Tracey, AM, Momo, Texstyle, Lucy, Caro, BrieN, Lyn67, Aziraphale and Naz - you are lovely.

Joy, hope you had some carbs - that’s the Euro way. *smiling*

merwoman, I’m sending you tulips….to match your happy spirit.

Liz, LOVE the Bijenkorf, and thanks for the sweet words.

jlpp and Beth Ann, you make me smile.

Dana, I need to meet you. You are fabulous, and so very empathetic. The colours of what I wear change with the light and the filters I use on my iPhone.

Elizabeth, did you keep the look low contrast? Socks, jeans and Cons more or less one colour.

Sally, YES. Love the active carb life in Europe. Healthy.

Minimalist, you are astute.

Karie, Sam stayed with Greg and they had a ball. (But Sam has been on short flights before and IS a good boy).

BC, it’s always good to be back.

Lisa, you’re a sweetie-pie as always.

Oh, Scarlet. I am touched by your words. Many thanks. WOW. Lovely to see you chime in, and yes - the Netherlands and Germany are quite similar.

Brooklyn, I have to say hi to EVERY dog when I travel. the Netherlands, France and the UK are VERY dog friendly places. Much better than in the US. You would love it.

Sterling and Barbara Diane, you crack me up. Thank you.

Shedev, I love meeting up with Inge. Fab that she lives quite close to my Dad.

UmmLila, Sam is sleeping on my lap as I type…..

Shevia, you’re astute, very kind, and I’m blushing. A therapeutic comment. Hugs from one green eyed girl to another.

Bella, nice to see you - and again, I’m blushing. Thank you.

Jane, I think you like orange too? High five. Thanks for the kindness.

Eliza, you’re amazing, and bubbling with affection. LOVE blue with orange, so high five right back at you.

Bijou, you’re always sooo positive and lovely. I appreciate that more than you know. Thank you.

Kerry, aging parents is a topic all on its own - and a tough one. It’s VERY hard when you’re close to them and they live far away. I like your thought process here, and thanks for the compliments. My Dad is incredible at almost 85.

Suz, thanks for the ongoing happy cheerleading, compliments, and empathy. You are fabulous, and I can’t wait for you to move closer.

I hope I haven't forgotten anyone. It wasn't intentional if I did.

Wonderful pictorial! I especially like the happy family pictures. And the food.....yum!
