At 49, I refuse to buy special bras for clothing anymore. If I can't wear a simple strap bra or a t-back, I won't buy the shirt or dress. Problem solved! As for the young girls who let their grimy bra band show in the back of their cut-out dress, I've seen this plenty of times and still can't understand it!!!

Elpgirl, this is my current strapless bra. (Note that it has back sizes as small as 30 with cup sizes as large as FF/G.) I have also tried on straplesses from Chantelle, Wacoal, and La Mystere. I spend a lot of time jumping up and down while wearing them in the dressing room.

Maya, thanks for reminding me of the distinction. I guess I just feel that extra material and instantly dismiss in my head. Bad Michelle.
Oh well, I'm not really in the market for a strapless bra right now and hope I don't need to be any time soon. If backless dresses make it north of the border, I'll just pass on the trend.

I actually like UO #3 and think you could wear a bra with it. Dark colored might be better just in case of an angle issue as it seems to me that straight on at least, undergarments wouldn't be visible.

If it weren't so short I would actually consider wearing it myself! However I do see your point, Maya, about wearing such a dress on the subway. Then again, it's so short I'm not sure I'd want my legs touching the seat either! That's a standing dress.
