I have around 20 pairs, so I guess it's true!

I wanted to add to my post above. While I have about this average, I would probably have more if it were not for my fussy feet!
If I were able to buy pumps, ballet flats, wedges and slingbacks I would.

Plus if I could save money by not having to buy expensive shoes for orthotics I would be able to afford cheaper versions of the above.

My basic tendency is still towards the minimal, but I could easily imagine another 6-10 pairs!
