Really cool and suits your style so well!

If I had a different body type, I would try this. Sadly, I think my time for this is past, LOL.

Thanks slim cat.

Thanks Lisa. I think wearing a jacket with it is tricky. To my eye it starts to look fussy, especially if the scarf ends fall below the hem of the jacket. A longer jacket or coat would be better. But I think it looks fine with a sweater or long sleeve top. It probably works better as a warm weather look, like a lot of more Bohemian looks.

Janet, thanks. I’m pretty curvy. About a 12 inch difference between waist and hips. This look does kind of draw attention to my hips. I feel like I’m hiding them in plain sight, ha ha.

Brooklyn, I think you look very proportionate in this style! You know how to dress your body very well.

For me, the difference lies in, well, for one thing, my thickening post-menopausal waist, but also I think this kind of detail is harder to employ on a short torso with a large chest — it’s like there’s too much going on in a short span of real estate, LOL! I came to realize that with some dresses that had certain detailing — I do better these days with styles that create a more unbroken line, if that makes sense. At least for my personal comfort level — someone else with a short curvy body may feel fab with a hip scarf and that’s great!

Janet, that makes perfect sense. Maybe it could work for you over a solid coloured dress. Less choppy. For me the effect is similar to an asymmetrical belt I have from COS. But softer. And easier to wear after lunch

Brooklyn, that would be the most likely successful approach. But considering I struggle even with a simple belt with dresses, my expectations would be low, LOL.

That belt is very cool!
