Attempting to add the Emmanuelle Alt to the Romantic Rock 'n' Roll.

It feels like far too long since I was last able to visit FABland, between visitors, decorating and the family I have missing in action a lot.

However, I am here to once again ask you lovely people for your opinions. I pulled the trigger and ordered the Next trousers and here is my first attempt at styling. Is it working? Does it look current?

It certainly feels Romantic Rock 'n' Roll which is my MO of choice and I strangely felt a little Emmanuelle Alt in spirit with the cropped jacket and trousers.

I know Angie is still resting her arm so if you feel like you could chime in on the length of the trousers I would really appreciate it.

So here goes, #1 the outfit #2 overexposed to show the details #3 the close up.

I am definitely getting (and loving) a romantic rock and roll vibe from this outfit, and those polkadot trousers are awesome. What is your concern about the length?

Wow, Julie, this is gorgeous!! I love the whole thing - jacket, top, and especially the trousers!! Is this a going-out outfit? Did you wear it yet? You will turn heads.

I will allow others who are wiser to weigh in on trouser length. I think it works, especially with this kind of footwear (which you want to show off.)

I remember these pieces - the sparky top, Ben Sherman blazer, box clutch and vintage belt. Amazing juxtaposition of texture, shine and very subtle pattern.

Julie this is gorgeous. Very EA and dry "you". The pant length works given your choice of footwear which elongate the leg. Your hair is looking great too, are growing it?
