Hi Angie,
My husband and I are taking my parents on a weeks trip to several place in the east. We plan on going to Maryland for a few days, Virginia and West Virginia hopping from hotel to hotel touring the country side. My mom wants me to give her an idea of what to bringto wear. We will be traveling the first week of May. Her body type is small hips, large stomach area. She is short waisted and can't find clothes that fit her age or body shape in the stores. Do you have any suggestions?

Angie is on holiday at the moment, she'll be back on the 27th, and I'm sure she'll chime in then.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like your mom could be an adorable apple (what do you think?). Would your mom mind if you posted a picture of her (you can block out her face) to help determine her body type? We could give more specific suggestions then.

Your mom dies sound like an adorable apple shape wise. You can check some of the Body Type blog posts for tips for that shape.
It is hard to be a short waisted apple but maybe she can find something in petites depts? Petite usually goes up to XL and some shops like Ann Taylor Loft go up to 16P.

My first suggestion is that Mum pack outfits according to what she in comfortable with on her feet. This trip sounds like you’ll walk quite a bit so pending that we can work from the feet up. Hope to hear from you soon.
