Are you having trouble with pictures or private messages?

We have seen a couple of problems recently and it would really help me to narrow down the cause if I knew whether other people are experiencing them too.

The specific problems:

When you send a private message, duplicates get sent
You click on the thumbnail of pictures that people post, but the big version doesn't appear

I'm having problem #2, but I had attributed it to my slow wireless. Just happened today on Greenglove's thread when I clicked on the pictures - they never loaded.

It may be unrelated and user error, but sometimes when I click on the picture to open, instead of opening it in the foreground, it replaces YLF with just the pic and I have to use the back button to reload the forum. I thought it was probably me (and am likely right).

Greg, I was going to post about this, so you are right on time. I have noticed when I click on the first photo in a post, the photo redirects to a separate page. This doesn't happen if I reclick the same photo or subsequent photos in the post.

I believe this happens exclusively on my PCs. I have not noticed this occurring on my Mac devices, but I can double check to make sure.

What DressLover and dianthus describe is something I know about. There is a little bit of code that provides the "popup" picture viewer, and if you're fast and click the thumbnail before that has a chance to load, then the page enlarges the picture in a separate page instead. At some point I will make this work better.

The thing I am more worried about right now is the situation where you can't load the bigger picture at all.

alaskagirl, is this the case for you? Greengloves pictures didn't load at all?

It may open eventually, but it takes over a minute, and I never can wait that long.

I have trouble in sending private messages. I always get a message that it was unable to send and to re-try later - so I wait a few minutes and click send again and I get the same message - it usually takes me re-trying 5 or 6 times over a 10 minute time span before the message is finally sent and then later when I go back to it, I discover that it was sent at least twice if not 3 or 4 times!

Greg, I can't open many of the thumbnails by a left click and see the larger photo. When that happens I have to right click and open/view the larger photo in a new tab (Google Chrome) and I have to repeat for each photo if there are multiple photos posted.
