I get why you pose the question, as these are just the type of thing that at other points, would catch my eye, but then sit in my closet unworn while I try to find the right occasion. Of course, I then would realize that it is outside of my comfort zone and style direction, so it would have been better to have let it be.
That said, I would love to see them on someone else as they read fun and even a bit classic to me. Could be worth a try! I also like the lower contrast option; that is my default choice for printed pants.
