Are scoop neck T shirts out of fashion?

I have been looking to replace several long sleeve scoop neck t shirts I usually wear in the fall and not seeing much on offer. Instead I see mostly v necks and very high crew necks. I prefer the look of a lower horizontal neckline under a blazer or cardigan. Am I just out of luck this season (again)? I didn’t find many scoop necks when I looked for short sleeved Ts earlier in the summer, which is making me wonder if they just aren’t common anymore. Let me know if you’ve seen any you love, or if I need to retrain my eye.

I prefer a scoop neck too, and have purchased many from Garnet Hill (the Essential Tee). There are long and short-sleeved versions.

Garnet Hill does occasionally have sales, and if you keep going back to the item a few times, they may send you a free shipping code

Have you tried Everlane? I think Loft has some too.

I used to wear them a lot but I think as I’ve gotten older (and a little bigger), that V necks or narrower necklines in general are better on me. I remember when Express carried them in a whole bunch of colors.

in my searches. Lands End/ Eddie Bauer may have some necklines that you are looking for.

I wrote a long reply and then lost it posting. Thank you all for the suggestions. The Garnet Hill shirts look most like what I had in mind but I am balking at the shipping and returns fees in case the colors and fit don’t work out so I am going to hold out a bit to see if Aquamarine is right and there are sales and/or free offers.

Roberta, the shirts I want to replace are lands end and I remember them coming in a lot of colors so it surprised me not to find them this season. I don’t love the llbean colors and the reviews have more quality complaints than usual so that is giving me second thoughts.

Janet, I never used to wear v necks but got a few this summer when I couldn’t find short sleeved scoop necks and I don’t hate them on me so maybe I am seeing the same changes. I need to try on my toppers with my existing v necks to see if my poison eye has sweetened. In the meantime I will see what I can try on in person from loft and three dots. The Everlane ones looked nice but the colors are too warm to work for me.

I see Janet already suggested everlane. I haven’t seen the Target tees, but I’ve generally had good luck with tees from them. At the other end of the price spectrum are the ones from MMLafluer

I wear scoop neck T-shirts as well as a crew neck. Scoop neck does not seem to be as easy to find right now. The ones I like are Three Dots. I got mine from Amazon a few years ago.

I love scoop necks and had a couple fitted tees when loose crewneck tees were all the rage.

I think they may be a BIT out of fashion right now, but also anything that's flattering will always look good. Skinny jeans look good on some people despite being out of fashion, and this does, too.
