Non-trendy suburbs of Chicago, here! I did see one women --- late 30's, I'd guess, wearing a pair, although not super baggy, at the grocery. Otherwise, it's just me. I'm the only one over 30 I know with white, red and cobalt, too. No colored denim at all, except in teens.
Honestly, I don't get out much so I couldn't tell you! LOL I work in a business dressy-casual environment where none of the employees wear jeans and the defendants in court are usually wearing skin-tight skinnies or worse. I haven't noticed anybody wearing them out and about in town, but I haven't NOT noticed them, either, if that makes sense. (I'm in So Cal, just outside of L.A.)

That said, I wear mine CONSTANTLY on the weekends and evenings, so I'm doing my part to promote the BF movement!

I DID see some in Japan and full silky pants with tapered legs. Also, the Kut Catherine boyfriends in every wash were sold out in size 4 at our local Nordies when I wanted to try them on. So they are selling locally.

Okay, so here is the question: If they are selling -- and apparently they are -- why are we not seeing anybody wearing them???
I see them quite often. Near Toronto, Canada.
Suz, I was wondering the same thing. Weekend lounge-about wear for many?

Maybe everyone is secretly being comfortable at home in them, afraid to wear them out until they see others sporting boyfriends around town.

My two cents re: why they are sold and not seen is that most people just size down in them to make them skinny. At least that is my experience.

Angie, a couple of months back there were none in stores here. I don't think I have seen any in Bendigo (large regional centre) or Melbourne on the streets ie I don't think the trend has made it here yet.

I almost never see them anywhere in Alberta, Canada. A lot of skinnies.
I haven't noticed them here in Melbourne either, (except on me .)
If I had sized-up to make them very slouchy I would have felt quite self-consious wearing them!
Not seen much in my Australian regional town either. I have started seeing patterned pants however.

Late here - reporting from Canada's capital region. I haven'T seen the skinny slouch worn like Angie neither in Ottawa nor in Hull - except on me of course!

Most "slouch" are worn skinny slouch, almost like skinnies (pic 2). Except for the guy below who's evidently got it (and who BTW looks very hot). Then there are extremes (pic one) and conservatives (pic 4).

I haven't really seen them here. I'm mainly on campus and college students aren't wearing them....

But I need to get down to the trendier areas of town and check it out.

AJ--LOL that you've seen them once. On me at our meetup! I wear those a lot and really like them.
No BF jeans here. I see mostly skinny jeans, and unfortunately leggings worn as pants, the most. Colored jeans are slowly making their way to the mainstream looks.

The bulk of my time is in the office and I've been sporting colored jeans since last year, I've only noticed in the past month or so that coworkers are starting to sport them too.

Bootcut jeans, I do not see many of those, although I wear mine often as a break from the skinny jeans tucked into boot combo.
SoCal--Gritty Hollywood and hipster Silverlake precinct reporting in.

I mainly seeing skinnies, the slochiest I tend to see are straight legs.
Isn't this interesting!

Suz, It's like the uber high heels that keep on selling, but I never see anybody wearing them apart from bloggers and catalogue models.

I haven't noticed any around here. I live in an un-hip suburb outside of Portland OR so it's mostly gear, straight leg or an occasional skinny jean.

Ooh, I DO see high heels here! At dinner and in da club areas. I see people wearing sky high heels walking from their cars through Santa Monica on the way to one or the other all the time. Maybe there is some secret BF jean haunt, too.
There you go. There's a secret BF jeans club. But us YLF'ers are out of the closet.
You know, it's funny but I actually see women out here wearing high heels more often than I would think. It's like the one thing some women don't want to "let go" of when they move to the country. Maybe not super high but still, 4 inches in the gravel and dirt is pretty darn high!
I live near several colleges and the state university so it's a pretty populated area. I have seen some, but not many, people sporting this style. And the few people I have seen have been older than college age. It's definitely out in the stores, so I don't know where all the people are that are buying them!

I like mine, and that's what matters!
Not that I have seen. I'm not sure it has caught on yet here. Many people are still wearing skinny jeans and flat boots. But it's cool in the mornings and mild (not hot) in the afternoons and cool in the evenings. Bare ankles could feel a little too bare in weather like this.
1) What Rae says sounds right
2) I think there IS a secret land where people are wearing them (the art school)
3) It's also true the weather hasn't really broken. We had one really weird week of HOT HOT weather, and now we're back to overcast, cold, and windy. I mean, Denver got fresh snow last week while we were in our heat wave...
