I just saw Jessica Biel. Her hair is too messy for my taste and the dress is a disaster.

Ryan Seacrest just interviewed E.R.W. and they did NOT show the dress. It looks like a pale blush-colored dress?

I saw E.R.W.'s dress from front. Killer!

In addition to her hair, I dislike Jessica Biel's dress as well.

There's Brangelina! Angelina's wearing a black strapless number.

I just Kate Winslet. I am very disappointed.

Penelope Cruz is wearing a cream strapless dress, can't see the bottom yet.

I am not thrilled with Kate W.'s dress either.

I strongly dislike Beyonce's dress.

I just saw Angelina and I LOVE her dress. The green earrings are beautiful. You gals are much faster at this than me!

I really like Kate Winslet's dress, especially the two-tone style with dark silvery grey and beaded black. I could see myself wearing something like that.

I think Beyonce’s dress works for her – this is Beyonce after all.

Marisa Tomei is so pretty but her dress is too OTT. Her hair didn’t work either. I think we need to give Kate Winslet a chance. I think she might have gotten it right. Can't see the dress full on yet. Marion Courtillard was my fav last Oscars, but certainly not my favourite tonight. Queen Latifia looks fabulous! How about Meryl Streep?

Kate Winslet's dress is pretty, but a bit too conservative in my opinion, especially compared to that cobalt blue one she wore recently.

I liked Meryl Streep's, at least what I saw of it ( from waist up).

Meryl Streep and her teenage daughter are beyond adorable together.

My favorite so far is Natalie Portman. That color is to die for.

Supposedly there are going to be "surprise" presenters who haven't walked the red carpet - meaning more dresses to watch during the show!

Angelina does look pretty now that the details of the dress are clear. Although I do wish she'd wear color every once in a blue moon.

I like Anne Hathaway, Tarajii and Meryl Streep the best. I think Meryl looks fantastic. She is such a gorgeous woman.

Hmm, Alicia Keyes' dress is pretty (from what I can see in the photo). E.R.W's is okay but she looks a little washed out to me.

Beyonce has looked better. I love the shape of the dress for her, but the print is much too much. It makes it look a bit cartoonish.

Tilda gets my worst dressed vote - she needs to eat a hoagie.

Okay, I've gone through the pics a second time, and Meryl gets *my* vote for best dressed!!! Hands down and no contest.

But of course, it'll be Angelina the press says is best dressed, as usual. It's true her dress is lovely and oscar-red-carpet-worthy, and those earrings are a clever touch, I will not argue with that. But all those tattoos just ruin it for me. Why not cover them up just for one night?

Also I just think some people have the style to pull of tattoos. Angelina, IMO, doesn't. She looks silly with them.

P.s. I think some of the men look much better than the women. Maybe the men stole the show?

Interesting show tonight. I wasn't wowed by too many dresses.

I did like Taraji P. Henson, Angelina Jolie (LOVED the earrings!), Evan Rachel Woods, Marisa Tomei, Amy Adams (but thought her necklace was too thick).

What did Jennifer Aniston do with her hair? It looked cute.

Natalie Portman's dress left me cold somehow, although I appreciate the interesting color. Didn't care for Kate Winslet's dress nor her hair and make-up - I thought she looked so much better and more radiant at the Golden Globes. Reese Witherspoon was a disaster, what was up with her make-up? Didn't like Heidi Klum's dress though the color was fab. Didn't like the blue on Frida Pinto very much, it didn't make her shine.

Anne Hathaway looked good but has looked better and more glamorous.

Finally, I thought Miley Cyrus looked like a cake topper. I didn't care for the dress in general, and thought it looked real silly on her.

As to the show itself, I enjoyed a lot about the new format. Beyonce totally rocked in the musical medley, swoon. I thought Hugh Jackman did a nice job, even though I was very skeptical about him moderating. And Sean Penn's acceptance speech was just the best. Such a great actor and great man. I also really liked that all of the lead and supporting actors and actresses got honored with their own special introduction. I thought 2008 was a good movie year and I enjoyed a lot of the performances that were nominated.
