Anyone owns those Target Bermuda shorts?

I decided to branch out of my usual short shorts and skirts this summer for slightly more sophistication and style and ordered those, hope they fit, I've never had bermuda shorts before, long time ago tried a wider style but they looked a little off. I have thin legs so I hope those will look OK, I'll definitely report once they get here!
I also ordered a polka dot top, don't have anything polka dotted, I'm so behind the trends it's not even funny!

I own the version from last year, which from all appearances is completely identical.
I plan on getting them again this year (smaller) as well as trying the black version.

I tried these shorts on last night in a size 4 (I wear a 26 or 27 in premium denim jeans) and they fit great in the waist but I had my usual pear shape issue, they were too tight in the thighs. When I went a size up they were too big. I still say give them a try, as skirts/shorts/trousers are very hard for me to fit in my thigh and bum area and you said you have thin legs, I think they will work on you then.

I have them, and I wore them a lot last summer. However, like Sarah, I may have to go get them a size smaller this year. I'm not complaining!

They are really cute and seem like they would be so versatile. I tried them, but they didn't fit quite right on me. I reallly like the fabric and color. Good luck!

Lisa: thank you for the insight, I'm about size 26/27 in waist so I hope size 4 will fit, bummer they didn't work out for you, those Halogen ones are very nice, I love the white especially!
I hope they fit ok (I have trouble finding pants that fit right), it was an impulse purchase more than anything, but hey, something those work out best ;). I hope they're not too dressy for a MOTG look.... I like the longer slim look.

If I remember correctly (I haven't put them on yet this year), the waist is a little on the big side, but I'm a bit generous in the hip and thigh, so YMMV.

I wore these in casual outfits all the time, so they shouldn't be too dressy at all.

Update: I just received them in the mail... They're too big, especially in the waist but around the hips and butt as well, just as Janet said they might run bigger in waist (just the waist wouldn't matter as much as it' an easy fix). I'll try to run by our local Target and see if I can spot size 2 in store, if not, I'll have to reorder it (but it ships in 2-4 weeks only, bummer, seems like we're far away from shorts weather in NE anyway).
Overall, I love them, especially for the price, they're nice fabric, slightly stretchy and with a subtle sheen to it, not wide over thighs at all, and they do make my legs appear longer (as opposed to frumpy look I was afraid of!), very comfy and the hem is right above my kneecap. So update #2 will come around in a while, but I really recommend them if you want to try, they're available in dark blue, olive and black.

Oh, I hope the size down fits! I have had them in past seasons and thought they were great for the price. Kind of like t-shirts, they don't last forever, but they are great while they last.

These are the ones I bought for my trip to Florida last week. I hope the smaller size works for you! The fabric is very nice for the price, and they can easily be dressed up or down. A great summer basic.
