I was eyeing this sweater when I was placing my order a couple of days ago but it was out in my size. Now I am placing an order for a replacement for the linen sweater and see that this came back in stock!
I am not sure about the size -again. Anybody has seen it IRL? Worth trying?

Yes, I have seen it in real life but not tried it on. It is lovely! The knit feels soft and nicely made. The reason I didn't try it was that I thought my bra straps would not play nicely with the sheer sleeves....kind of messed with the clean lines of the sweater if you know what I mean. If that doesn't bother you then give it a try! The sweater is beautiful!

How was the sizing on this one? Do you think I need to size up for a fluid fit or is my size should be fluid enough?

Sorry I posted and ran....had to feed hungry kids and they don't have a lot of patience.

Since I didn't try it on I'm not the best judge of sizing. If memory serves me correctly from my look at it in the store, I think your usual size would work. You could try contacting their customer service and asking for garment measurements. I have found their personal shopping service to be very helpful with this sort of thing. They have tracked down things for me that are showing out or stock in my size on line.

Ah, that makes sense...and of course I can guess the color although you bought the Zara one in pink and not in white - or did you buy both?
I look beautiful but I am afraid I would always have to cover those sleeves with a topper in my freezing office which would be a pity and would not have many occasions to wear it outside of work sans topper either. I think I will pass but it was nice to dream for a while...:-)
Angie, are there any JCrew skirts, pants or jeans you think can be a good fit for me? I have an opportunity to place an order with free shipping and return now so I thought I can use it as a chance to try some of their stuff risk free.

I bought the Zara asymmetric pullover in pink first - and in white a few days ago. That's why I returned the white JCrew linen tops in white.

i haven't seen it in person but i really like it. the bra strap issue would bother me with the white one though but not the colors…not sure why

I have seen the J Crew sweater in person and really like it, it is gorgeous! I haven't tried it on but it looked pretty TTS to me.

Angie, I can imagine that outfit - beautiful and fun. I love those yellow tartan pants of yours!
So these linen sweaters - you would layer them under that Zara jacket? As it stands I can only justify tops which can be layered under my jackets. Does this white linen sweater require a cami under it due to see-trough factor?
Suz, I am not "ordering a storm" - she says indignantly. I need to order that amethyst sweater in a correct size, right? But I also want to take advantage of a free return with my coupon to return what does not work. So I need to order SOMETHING which will be returned and I can add other stuff into the same return package and get a return price refund. See - it is being practical!
But if I have to order something I am going to return anyway I as well may order something which would be useful to know the fit for the future - see, I am being double practical here!
I suspect there will be more items I would need to return as I am determined to keep 10s only. I have ordered 2 tees (pink and white) which were final sale so they will stay for sure but everything else is open for debate. I guess I will see next week!
