Ha! Even if a trend is not something I would immediately choose for myself, I always admire it when the wearer owns their look and is confident. Confidence and a great smile are the results of any outfit that makes You Look Fab. Your little nephew and your Dad really are quite dashing!
What I’m struck with in your pictures, is how much your brother looks like your father, and you look like your mother. Being a vintage person myself, of course I like your father’s style. I assume your “little nephew” resembles his mother.
I also like socks with Birkenstocks, but they have to be hand-knit IMO.
My son and his friends are all about the slides and socks ... Each to his own; if he feels good and it's not inappropriate to the occasion, I'm supportive
