Any Ideas For a Shopping Day Outfit PLEASE Ladies?XXX

I will be going out shopping on Tuesday as Paula and I'm still not quite sure what to wear ladies and wondered if you could give me some help and ideas PLEASE?!!!!

It is fairly cool here at the moment in the North of England,so I may need to wrap up a little.

May I thank you in advance of your help and I REALLY hope no-one is offended that I am a crossdresser.I just so adore you ladies and love being able to dress as I TRULY want to.

Hi, what a great question. I would wear a tank top or camisole, and maybe some leggings, and a skirt and a pullover jumper top, and maybe ballerina flats. Will that work for you as a cross dresser? My thinking is that these are fairly easy to pull on and off if you are tying on clothing and give you a base layer to wear underneath. The leggings and camisole will keep you warm. I like to move quickly when I shop and don't like to be slowed by fussy clothes with too many buttons or zippers. I might also wear a scarf for added color.

If you are looking for something particular, a blouse, or a skirt, than you should wear whatever will go with it.

hmmm. well if i doing a shopping trip that will take a couple of hours, i always start with the shoes....must be comfortable and easy to get on and off. also i like to wear tops that slip on and off easly--i dont want to have to fuss with getting my outfit just right after a trip to the fitting room. and finally, i like a jacket thats lightweight (but warm) so that if i have to take it off and carry it i'm not hauling around a lot of weight

Congratulations on going shopping as Paula! I can imagine it takes guts but I'm never offended by dudes in dresses. I say wear a favourite outfit with pride and accessorise with a huge dose of confidence. You should never feel you have to apologise for wearing what you like. Other than that, what Staysfit and kkards said.

I actually think it helps if you dress for whatever you're buying (unless it's something like a ball gown!). That puts you in the mood for what you're looking for and you will probably have your hair and makeup fixed appropriately. That said, comfortable shoes are a must! Sometimes if it's going to be a marathon, I'll even take a second pair of shoes to switch midway. I spent five hours yesterday wandering a nearby mall and spent way too much but it was lots of fun and I needed a fun day! Good luck!

Thank you all so VERY much for your input and such positive and friendly approach to my dressing,you make me feel great!!!

I will try a few outfits tomorrow and make a final decision then.

If/when I get out,I will be taking piccies and will post some on here,so keep your eyes peeled ladies,LOL!!!

Lots of great advice here ! I particularly agree with a tank or camisole and leggings. Though to be honest, THE easiest thing, if the weather allows it, is a dress. Just on and off. And flats. I do think that if you are looking for something specific, then bring the shoes for that in a separate bag or your handbag. I have a very hard time just visualize things. Though some people are really good at that. I am not one of them.

You have gotten lots of good advice. I wear very few accessories and never earrings after losing a favorite pair. They tend to get pulled off changing. I like to wear a pull on skirt like a tube skirt, short leggings and a thin cami over my undies. You never know how much privacy there will be. Slip on shoes and tights or nylons or whatever you want to wear with whatever shoes you want to buy. No belts, scarves, jewelry, that can be forgotten.

My thinking is also a dress. Easy off and on if you plan to try on lots of things.
If it more sight seeing just enjoying you day out and about as Paula, I echo the suggestion of wearing your favorite pieces. What makes you confident and sassy.
I do urge comfortable footwear. Whether serious shopping or just recreation, sore feet kill the mood!

I'm the opposite to some. I don't like to wear a dress to shop because then I don't have proper bottoms to try tops with and it can be hard to judge a top if you don't have bottoms on. For this reason I like jeans and a tank or tshirt and a topper. I keep the top layer thin because then I can throw jackets and sweaters right over top of it without even entering a dressing room. I often get overheated while shopping and trying on clothes, so I try to dress as light as I can because if I wear a coat I'm always carrying it by the end of the day.

Comfortable shoes, yes. Also, make sure they're easy on and off.

Another rule of thumb for me is to make sure I wear something shopping that I find flattering. I use the outfit I'm wearing as a measure for the outfits I'm trying on. If it doesn't look as good or better than what I wore into the store, I leave it there. This can help with sales goggles.

A dress is easy, but I hate trying on tops without pants, so I vote jeans with comfy boots and a sweater.
