Hello ladies!

If you are willing to analyze one more pinterest board for determining a style statement:

I ticked off these style descriptors on the YLF profile page, but wonder if they are accurate:
Modern Classic
Retro Princess (I am not really a princess though)
Urban Minimalist
This one also appeals to me: Gamine Eclectic.
I used to really dress in this style when I was much slimmer but now I am overweight and I wonder if Gamine Eclectic really works for my size.

I don't really wear jewelry except for very basic pieces that I wear pretty much daily.

Glamorous Gamine Bombshell - what do you think of this idea? Even the more casual looks seem glamorous to me, somehow. Just beautiful!

To me there's a strong retro influence in your picks, very feminine and pretty. Can't figure out how to say it. Retro Minimalist?

I am loving all these Pinterest boards. The first descriptor that popped into my head was "Parisian". I found it Feminine, Parisian, Gamine, stream lined ( bordering minimalist ).

Thank you ladies! This was interesting as I got some surprising responses. It is always good to check your ideas against those of others and get feedback.

As I said, I do think I still have a gamine influence, which I have heard described as simple, sorta boyish but still feminine. I think it was Sofia Coppola who was described as "gamine without the twee" - I am not a fan of twee.

Glamourous and Bombshell were surprising terms I did not expect. Thank you for that! I guess I do like a subtle sort of glamour, simplified vs. ALGO. Bombshell was a surprise too. I like Angie's term "demure bombshell" but I do wonder if it really suits me. I am definitely not bombshell in my daily wear though maybe my alter ego steps out a bit when dressed for an event (like a wedding or formal).

Retro minimalist works too. I do like vintage styles from different eras, but especially the 1940s. I aspire to be a minimalist in my general style (not just wardrobe) but I don't want things to look or feel stark. I like stream-lined.

Parisian was definitely a compliment. I always liked images I've seen of Parisian style, though I have never been there myself. I don't want to be a "poser".

Simple feminine classic. Not quite modern, not quite minimal, not totally sure it's gamine. Some sense of the retro tones down the modern. I don't see bombshell, personally. Streamlined is a good word. That might be a key.

I don't see the bombshell, either, Rosee. I do see feminine, Parisienne (gamine), classic, retro. Retro feminine classic would be my best bet so far!

Hmm. I don't see bombshell either, I'm afraid. What did I miss?

I do see... "Refined Hipster". Hipster incorporates gamine and retro, but I find your likes more put-together and ladylike and modern...

Sorry for the late response. Thank you Cjh, Suz and Rachylou. I didn't really think I was bombshell (as bombshell and gamine seem to be opposites). I think the thing with Gamine is that different people interpret it differently; some picture Zoe Deschanel while others picture Parisian women. To me, its slightly boyish but in a still feminine way.
My mother would laugh at me being called "feminine" but I think I am though sort of boyish too. Hipster was a fun term, one I didn't expect.

It is kind of tough to try to summarize your style in limited images (like in this pinboard: http://pinterest.com/roseefrug.....od-boards/). Things become more evident when looking at the other pinboards and many images all together. I do seem to have a bit of a split between retro feminine items and more modern boyish ones.

Every single time someone mentions Gamine style, I think of how Eponine and Gavroche are styled in Les Miserables. A bit boyish, a bit disheveled, a bit Parisian.

I actually love the gamine look, but I am not small enough. I love the looks you have accumulated. I think of them more like Retro French Nautical ....I my self am going toward this style but more Retro French Impressionistic ( think of arty Eclectic/ Retro/ French and throw in some impressionistic color schemes and patterns) LOL....Hey I just defined my style persona
