So, I have had some fun with refreshing my F/W footwear this year.

- I'm still evaluating the tall black laceup boots, but some around-the-house wear has been encouraging so far. They replace an old pair of laceup black boots.

- The knee high burgundy Born boots were comfy right out of the box and should be keepers, easily. They replace some tall burgundy boots which had grown uncomfortable.

- The black Free People ankle-wrap flat mules were an item I stalked after trying them on and really loving them in San Francisco. When I got home, I found them on excellent sale through Nordstrom Rack online, so I jumped on them. They're wearable in spring, summer and fall for me.

- i also tried the floral Hispanitas that Angie got. The oxfords were cute but didn't seem quite right for me. However, I love the bootie version. I ended up having to size up a half size, and the new ones arrived today. I'm wearing them around the house this evening to figure out whether they will be comfortable enough. They might not be a 3+ miles of walking shoe, but I'm trying to be honest with myself about how useful they will be.

If those end up being keepers as well, my shoe shopping for the winter is over! Four pairs is enough.
