Of course, BDFL. As you wish. (Is 24 the result of downsizing? I thought you were at a far higher number at some point.)

*happy dance*

Laughing @ BDFL....making me smile and blush too.

YES, April. We were around 35 to 40 at some point. Just passed on another two old bags due to silver hardware. Downsized to 25 - half my age

Sterling, hope this makes you smile!

I will go with my newest bag, a Furla I added last year from Trade Me (NZ Equipvalent of EBay). Second hand.

I really enjoy the structured shape of the bag and the mid size. I was going down and researching (thanks for the recommendations from the forum) a tote to put my laptop in too - but then swerved and decided on a dedicated bag PLUS a laptop bag.

I like the two tones of it which makes it easy to wear with a variety of outfits.

That's a super fun photo Angie and makes me smile....I couldn't pick a favourite either!!

There they are! All the old friends plus the new kids on the block.

Here's my whole family.

1. Bottom shelf of satchels
2. Top shelf of satchels/crossbodies/evening
3. Currently in use: Rebecca Minkoff gift from Mr. April on Valentine's Day. It had a ton of ultra-long rawhide lacings that I removed (shh, don't tell him), leaving only the one you see attached to the zipper.

Some of these bags literally took my breath away. Honorable mention, Gretchen. You stole my heart with your bags.

Mine.

Coach bag - thrifted - the absolutely perfect size to carry what I want to have with me on a day-to-day basis. Lightweight, soft, with a nice wide shoulder strap. Hangs at the perfect length, whether over the shoulder or from my hand.

LePliage - bought at Betty Hennings (Toronto store recommended by Gaylene) where I had a wonderful and fun shopping experience. Best bag for travel EVER, and has been on over a dozen memorable trips. Perfect for when you need something light that carries a TON of stuff.

I’ve been so happy with my collection, that I’ve stopped looking for the ‘perfect’ bag.

RC, sounds like you found it already.

Right now, it’s this one. That could change, though!

My 25 year old Coach Court bag- slightly worn, but I still get stopped by other women who will reminisce with me about Coach of the early and mid-90s. And my much newer Marc Jacobs The Editor Satchel (waving at Gretchen) which I managed to grab for half price after watching it on my Nordie’s wish list for 6+ months. So worth the wait! Beautifully made, and it holds my laptop, and everything I need for my work day with room to spare without being overwhelming.

So many gorgeous bags ... and I loved peeking at Angie and Runcarla's organized closets. I have lots of bags, and April your thread inspired me to take a look. They are stored in two plastic bins, and I need to let go of some of them. O_o

I still like my Alexander Wang backpacks. I have one in tan nylon and another in black floral leather. My most recent purchase is the Mini Kensington which I purchased last NAS.

My most used bag at the moment, though not my most loved, is this Tory Burch nylon and patent tote. It's huge, I can get my entire office in there.

This is my favorite bag. I’ve been carrying a diaper bag for ten years now. I finally just bought this, mostly because it’s pretty. And I have some business meetings I didn’t want to bring the diaper bag or a tote to, lol.

I think I have 3 faves. I am incredibly happy with the new bag I bought in October and started using in January. The soft bronze colour is good with my gold or silver or bronze jewellery or shoes.
Fave small bags are the brocade one inherited from Mum, and the red one which my lovely husband gave me for my 40th.

Bag enthusiasm re-ignited...

Bag enthusiasm continues unabated ......

Such happy bags Angie
Mine are my peacock laptop tote- used daily for years and very well made! It's not used as much now, cause I use a big rolling bag, but still love it!
My daily MK cognac purse. Perfect size and shape for everyday, and nice fkexible leather. Duplicated when my last one got in too poor condition. Want to get same in burgundy!

Of course, Ms. Flora is my all-time favorite handbag. I hope the other handbags don't get too jealous.

Wow, women have a really intimate relationship with their bags. The LOVE pouring out of this thread is evident. Should be no surprise, most bags have been more reliable and loving than most men in my life (present SO the exception).

I don't really have a favourite bag. I hope we can all still be friends. I just carry a bag around and hope it carries my stuff. I rarely buy new bags. However, I do like vintage bags and have a few of those.
Lately, I have been using my Roots feed bag that I bought in the mid-90s. It looks amazing.
My dogs have a bag. It is a tote bag that holds their stuff. I don't have a dog right now so it is not in use.
I have a vintage Coach bag. I wouldn't mind getting another one if the right one presented itself to me.
I have a vintage Gucci bag but no picture. Some of my vintage bags were actually bought new by me.

I can’t choose one, because they all have different uses and moods! Here are some current and long-time favorites.
