I ordered these boots from Amazon :

They are beautiful and very comfy...they were also a tad big. So I ordered the smaller size yesterday. Within 20 mins of my net order, my phone rang. It was someone from Amazon telling me that, in fact, my size was sold out. I was really stunned. He said that in case it was a gift, they wanted to reach me immediately so that I could make other plans. He then apologized profusely.

That is INCREDIBLE customer service.

Darn - did "my" size go to you ????? They are sooooo comfortable, QM. And they are beautiful and unique in a subtle way...sigh for me. If Amazon ever calls me again, I am going to ask , " Did Queen Mum get the last pair ? Just because she's the Queen ? "

LOL- I haven't ordered them yet.... but it's quite tempting. What was the width like? They look narrow...

I have a somewhat narrow foot, but not enough to take a narrow width shoe. THe widest part of my foot measure a little under 4 inches ( yup, I just measured ! ). There was plenty of room for my bunions !!!! So I think that if your foot is normal width, they will not be tight at all. There was room for me to wear a medium weight sock with them. ( Probably not something as thick as a gym sock - but we are too fab for that anyway ! )

Totally OT : As I was just searching for a measuring tape, my husband asked, " what are you doing ? "

me, " I need a measuring tape or ruler."
him, " What for? I thought you were going to clean the bathrooms ? "
me, " I need to measure the width of my feet ?"
him, " And you need to do that, why ?"
me, " As a comparison for the Queen. I want to tell her my foot width."
him, " This HAS to be a YLF thing....ok. "

Yup. Amazon is right up there with Zappos and Nordies as far as customer service goes.

Those are FAB looking boots! I am so tempted, but my only concern is that hosiery might get caught on the zipper teeth.

Aj, I have the same concern - though the zippers on the pair I have are very smooth, almost plastic smooth, if you know what I mean. I will let you know how it turns out - I am going to run a pair of the bottom of of tights across it.

Oh that is good customer service... and considering last week I purchased my first ever shoes from overseas via Amazon, this is helping to settle the unruly nerves I have going on LOL

My only issue with them is that even when you look under the section for international shipping to Aus, they show shoes that can't ship here (like the Clark's Smooches!).

And I was giggling at the conversation with your DH!!
