I think social.media is what you make of it. I use it to connect with friends and family. I'm talking about FB. I think it must be monitored and regulated like any platform. I myself have found several groups which I am an active member of. They are wonderfully moderaterated some are self moderated.

I think it does not matter what country you come from. Being self aware and mature can give you different outlooks. Surrounding yourself with great people who become your sounding board can help you eventually make the right decision for yourself.

As Angie said earlier she had spoken with Sally about it for some time now.

I wish Sally much success on her next.

Well said Ledonna. Anything can be abused. YLF is well moderated and very positive.

Perhaps Sal will participate here more now as a member.

I wish Sally all the best in her future endeavors.
(and I hope she keeps up the weekly kitty).

It is sad to see her go but her instinct for self-preservation and mental health are about as feminist as one can get, IMO.

I've been reading Sally's blog for years and years, but not so much lately as I spend more time here. I wish her the best in her new endeavors.

I loved Sal's blog. Not sure if I found her through YLF or if I found YLF through her blog. I was a frequent contributor to her blog via posts and I enjoyed getting to know her a bit. As a person who occ visits the Twin Cities, I also found some interesting places to shop due to her mentions. The fact she stepped away from an office job a few years ago to concentrate on her blog and other style activities also gave me a bit of courage when my job was de-funded a couple years ago and I had to find something new. While I'm not a blogger, her success gave me courage and confidence to find a new way. Many thanks to her and congratulations for recognizing it's time to follow a new passion.

WOW. Lots of you found YLF through Sally. LOVELY.

Jamie, I'm awfully touched by your words. Thank you.
