Love. Love love the jeans!

Re the trends…I do think a lot more about the trends today vis via which ones I think are appropriate for me….not age appropriate….because I don’t see most fashion that way, but appropriate because as I’ve gotten older I’ve become better at buying for my current lifestyle and my closet. In my youth to try a trend I’d often buy a whole outfit-ie foe these barrel legs jeans I need a shorter top and different shoe, you get the picture. But today I’m more about does it fit with what I already have, will it work in the places I go and the things I do. I’ve also gotten better and knowing which trends I like on other people vs which trends I ;Ike for me. (Not 100% there, but I’ve gotten better)

Thanks all for your interesting perspectives and your positive feedback on the new jeans,.

Style Fan- Yep, definitely no more crop tops for me either,
Jamie- I too am more aware of how certain body parts have changed as I’ve aged.

Cjh - Fab that getting older has provided you with some extra income to treat yourself now.

Carol - I agree that certain trends may have a more youthful appeal, so I tread carefully with some of these ones.

Kkards - I feel too that getting older has given me the wisdom now to not go “whole hog” with these trends. They have to be adaptable to me and not the other way round.

Can you share article nr or a link for these,pls- looking fab on You!!!

Dee these look fantastic!!! I'm so glad you tried them. So good.

As to trends ... No answers but I am grappling with this. I did some shopping last week in Florida (taking advantage of US shops, although I didn't get much!) and lamented that while I used to 'jist know' what was on trend, no I really have to work at it and am less sure of myself. Haven't solved it for myself yet!

Also agree with Brooklyn ... Practicality, etc. are far bigger considerations, and I don't want to waste resources on clothing that doesn't go the distance.

Lyn67 - I happened upon these Mango jeans while shopping in person at a local department store. I’m not sure what season they’re from, I made a custom find below, but they appear to be out of stock online.

Helena - Yes its tricky keeping up with trends, just when I think I’ve got it sorted they’re already moving onto to the next trend.

Love these jeans on you! I bet you will get lots of use from them.

I would echo a lot that has been said already. I am 62 and worry about looking current without trying too hard and looking ridiculous. Where I used to know instinctively what I would like, now I doubt myself way too often. It is definitely age related for me. I feel like I need to be extra careful about looking dated, but often don't know what that even means. It's a struggle for sure.

Anyway, the jeans are fabulous on you!

Dee, can you please provide the link to the jeans from MNG when you have a moment?

Angie its pretty confusing but I went with the jeans number on the price tag 328AGATA which lead me to this link

https://shop.mango.com/ca/wome......html?c=TO

Seems just like Everlane they have different names, because the other attached tag on my jeans calls them cropped balloon jeans

Here is the link for the regular length balloon jeans :

https://shop.mango.com/ca/wome......html?c=TO

Hopefully you can find the proper US link.

Wear what you like, like what you wear. There’s nothing wrong with an “old person” going with current fashion trends. Life is too short to deal with nitpicking criticism.

Dee, the links don't go to an item, unfortunately.

That’s weird Angie, both of them did for me this morning and again just now over 9 hours later? I’m on my phone?

Thank you, Dee- article nr. picked up from the links worked for me--- but not available in any size, unfortunately (on the EU webpage)...:-(.

Angie maybe this US link might work

https://shop.mango.com/us/wome......html?c=TO

This link calls these jeans high-waisted slouchy mom jeans with the number I entered from the price tag on my jeans.
However there was another label attached to the jeans as well, calling them cropped balloon jeans. Go figure.

Thanks for trying, Dee, The links do not link to an item, but to the MNG home page.

That's weird, Angie -- the links go to an item for me! It is all a mystery!

Checked links from Florida based WIFI and got item.

Dee and Suz, and NOW the link works!

Love your jeans Dee!

I have been thinking and don't know the answer here - I have changed my perspective on trends. I am still influenced by them and will sometimes choose being "trendy" over a conventionally flattering shape. I like the ebb and flow of trends.

But I am a bit more contrary about some trends too and avoid them.

I don't think I will wear mini skirts this time around, nor crop tops but I have enjoyed puffed sleeves and wide leg pants and am currently wearing an oversized bomber jacket....And I would wear body con again in the right piece.
