I agree, the acid wash descriptor conjures up a whole lot of scary images, whereas the item itself is just gorgeous. I'm glad you got it and I'll look forward to seeing it here one day. The colour will be so good on you.
Yay. Looking forward to seeing it on you. It's quite different from your solid colors, and yet, it's still pretty much a solid. I imagine the indigo blue will be stunning on you, and I think of it as a neutral that will go with whatever you want it to. The style is very much up your alley.
Glad that you ordered it. I don't care for acid wash personally, but this doesn't look dated to me--I think because of the style of the topper, which is very modern. I hope you like it!
I actually like some acid wash / tie dye pieces. I have some things by Raquel Allegra and Young, Fabulous and Broke. Both of these brands do a good job with artistic dye treatments. IMO you need to judge each piece by hand. I have returned some distressed denim (by Rag & Bone even) because that particular piece was not artfully done.
