accessorizes -in , out, keep wearing or ?

as we begin thinking about fall and before NAS or the fall style forecasts, as I am sorting thru things here are some accessorizes that will be on going for me no matter trends or not--

still wearing pearls, and love wearing my pearl vintage chocker with chambray, plaid or white shirts and jeans.

Still will wear layered necklaces and am also layering bracelets, especially with watches-and my big watches.

Broaches, and especially a collection on collars of denim jackets.

Neck scarves-have been wearing them for a while, but they are too hot for summer, will return in cooler weather.

Not sure what current earring trends are, bug I will always wear mid size hoops, diamond and pearl studs, and some of m vintage ones.

Since I am not a purse person I really pay little attention to trends, but did purchase a silver evening clutch, and once ot twuce a year I carry my black beaded one. For we I need a purse now I mostly use a small silver sporty looking cross body bag, or a bigger olive shoulder bag that is big enough for my ipad and a lot of junk I may not need.

My big accessory collection is of shoes and boots. I have been sorting through them on the weekends, pulling out pairs that look worn out, and styles that o longer seem to fit with my look. I am slowly trying to shift away from black, but I have maybe five or six pairs of black shoes that I am keeping until the right replacement comes along.

Since I went grey, I am slowly changing my jewelry over to white gold/silver instead of gold. I still love all my gold jewelry though so I plan to wear it mixed with silver. Finding the right silver pieces to coordinate with what I already have is the trick. I have some costume jewelry that I like, but wear less frequently. I am holding onto it for a time when I may want to wear it again. I'm more interested now in my real gold chains, my small delicate pendants, my diamond stud earrings, and I always always wear bangles. Always. It doesn't matter if they are in or not. It's my thing. I also have two watches which alternate wearing depending on the outfit.

Scarves, no changes planned here.

Handbags, I recently sorted and gave away several of my older bags to my DD. I'm trying to purchase high quality, but smaller bags that weigh very little and zip securely shut.

It sounds to me as if you know your likes and preferences very well and do a great job of accessorizing!

When it comes to jewellery, I don't pay much attention to trends. I like earrings (both small and statement), cuff bracelets or watches, and the occasional and rare necklace or brooch. If something comes on trend that I already own, I will probably wear it more for that season.

I have always worn more silver toned than gold jewellery, but now that my hair is grey, that will be even more true. I'm not ruling out gold completely, though.

I wear a lot of scarves in fall/ winter because of my climate combined with my short hair. I need them for warmth. So I'll look at shapes for scarves and scarf-tying trends for sure.

I also wear belts, so I look out for ones I like because they can be difficult to find.

Footwear is always my major accessory investment each season. I'll be looking at new boot and bootie shapes and colours.

I've got my eye on a very thin silver (it also comes in gold) simple modified choker from JennyBird. It would be a new silhouette/look for me as far as what I already have goes. I'm not off to a great start on the neck scarf trend - I have two and have yet to wear either one. They don't feel right, or me - at least tied around my neck bandana style. I think I may have to let that trend pass me by. Other than that, nothing different is really turning my crank these days. I will say I'm not enjoying my N&S pieces that I bought last summer - for some reason they no longer appeal or look right on me.

I am considering a new bag for fall/winter, and thinking about what that will be. It will be structured/less floppy than my beloved RM from last winter, which I still plan on using. I also am considering Rag & Bone boots in a style that has been a standard in their line for years....all of this pointing to a less trendy and more classic look. (bag, simple choker, old-school booties)

I'm a minimalist who has gone even more minimal! I'm not even wearing my wedding ring anymore! (I have knobby knuckles and it was suggested that I not wear a ring while doing the kind of weight training I do. It was becoming a PITB to take it off all the time, so I leave it off.) I have (fake) diamond sleepers in my pierced ears. That is it for jewellery. I've come to the realization that my curly hair, which gets curlier in the humid weather of summer, and bigger when it gets longer - is ALGO. Jewelery just gets lost.

On board with the neckerchief trend though. Just having fun, really, and it keeps the back of my neck warm when the Arctic A/C gets going. I'm actually wearing one today! I use pashminas when the weather turns cold.

Did an audit of my shoes and belts today. The last of my higher heels are in the donate pile. Just can't wear them anymore. I'm going to work hard to make sure that all my footwear is interesting, even if the heel is 1 inch or less! Haven't been wearing belts much, but starting to feel in the mood. Would like a red one and a leopard print one. Will put it on the fall shopping list!

I'm not sure what's trending, and think jewelery wearing is kind of a personal signiture. Some looks can become dated, but wait long enough and it will come around again.

I almost never get rid of any jewelry, because it takes up so little space and because I find that if I liked something enough to buy or make it, even if I tire of it, I like it again later. If I like something I will add it to my collection. I often wear things more when they are on trend, and less when they are not. Most of my jewelry is sterling or semi-precious stones or fun items and not expensive.

I definitely bought more scarves the last few years, but have been wearing them less this summer for two reasons. I am drawn to prints in summer, and without realizing, purchased print scarves also, without any thought of how they would work together. And they don't. Also I'm finding I don't like the weight/warmth of them on me in the summer. I would like to add another warmer scarf or two.
I will be considering a pair of non black booties as a fall addition, and maybe a pair of more casual leather flats.

Scarves used to be my main accessory, mainly because they added variety to my very small wardrobe, but I find myself using them less frequently these days. Now, I'm finding myself more attracted to bags, and would like to add more colours and styles to my collection.
Really, I just go with the flow and wear what appeals on any one day, but I rarely go out without an accessory of some kind.
